Vegan anarchist prisoner Osman Evcan was recently exiled (aka transferred) from Kandıra prison No.1 to Silivri L-type closed prison No.6, and has suffered repression such as naked body search, cameras in cells, ban on letters and visitors, and blocking of vegan food. He has undertaken hunger strike since February 22nd 2016 to resist this oppression. Help spread the word!
Osman Evcan [ndt: Osman Evcan è un prigioniero anarchico vegano, si trova detenuto in Turchia nella prigione di alta sicurezza numero 1 a Kocaeli. Aveva già messo in atto uno sciopero della fame nel giugno del 2015 per avere accesso al cibo vegano ed aveva ottenuto di poterlo ricevere dall’esterno del carcere, adesso l’amministrazione della prigione ha arbitrariamente revocato questa possibilità ed Osman ha ricominciato lo sciopero della fame il 10 novembre 2015] e Hasan Çınar [ndt: compagno di cella di Osman, nonostante i gravi problemi di salute allo stomaco, ha iniziato il primo dicembre 2015 lo sciopero della fame in solidarietà con Osman] hanno ottenuto la vittoria grazie alla lotta determinata che hanno messo in atto nelle loro vite contro lo stato all’interno delle spesse mura della prigione dove sono rinchiusi.

Osman Evcan and Hasan Çınar gained the victory from the determined struggle which they put their lives against the state inside the thick walls of prison which they are enclosed. Osman and Hasan, got what they demanded through this hard period. Osman Evcan ended his indefinite hunger strike which took 39 days against intimidation and extermination politics against prisoners in prison and again he proved us that how he is right about his call to raise struggle.

A demonstration took place in Taksim (Istanbul) to show solidarity with
vegan anarchist Osman Evcan who is on hunger strike for 37 days, and
with the political prisoner Hasan Çınar who is on hunger strike for 15
days. The demo continued by constant threats by the riot police and
ended by police attack after the public statement.

ABC İstanbul ve Hayvan Özgürlüğü İnisiyatifi’nin çağrısıyla Taksim, İstiklal’de açlık grevinin 37. gününde bulunan vegAnarşist Osman Evcan ve 15. gününde bulunan siyasi tutsak Hasan Çınar için bir yürüyüş ve basın açıklaması gerçekleştirildi. Anarşist ve hayvan özgürlükçülerden oluşan 60-70 kişilik grup önce Barış için Kadın Girişimi’nin 18:30’da Kürdistan’daki devlet katliamlarına karşı düzenlediği nöbet eylemine ve 19:00’da Bombalara Karşı Sofralara katıldı.
