TRIAL OF BILLY, SILVIA AND COSTA UPDATE – ITALY
On January 13, the first hearing of the proceedings against Billy, Silvia and Costa accused of possessing, transporting and receiving stolen explosives and for attempting to sabotage the IBM international nanotechnology research centre in Zurich was held in Turin. Comrades from various parts of Italy were present in court in solidarity.
To support their thesis the prosecution presented two witnesses: Digos inspectors from Turin who had followed the investigations that began immediately after their arrest in Switzerland. Only one of the two witnesses was cross examined by the prosecution and the defence. Apparently it seems that the trial will be quicker than was said at the beginning, the next hearing was set for March 2 where the prosecutor and lawyers will speak.

For Silvia, Costa and Billy, still on trial.”

AGGIORNAMENTO PROCESSO BILLY, SILVIA E COSTA
Il 13 Gennaio si è svolta la prima udienza del dibattimento a Torino contro Billy, Silvia e Costa accusati di possesso, trasporto e ricettazione di esplosivo e per il tentativo di sabotaggio al centro di ricerche internazionale nanotecnologiche IBM a Zurigo.
In aula una presenza solidale di compagne e compagni provenienti da varie parti d’Italia.

The appeal hearing due on 5th October 2015 was postponed to 19th October because an expert appointed by the prosecution and a Digos officer from Pisa in charge of the investigation were absent.

Italia: Billy, Costa y Silvia enviadxs de nuevo a juicio (es/it/en)
El 17 de julio del 2015 se desarrolló en Turín la audiencia preliminar contra Silvia Guerini, Costantino Ragusa y Billy Bernasconi. Lxs tres compas fueron detenidxs el 15 de abril del 2010 por la policía suiza que, registrando su coche, encontró materiales explosivos y panfletos que reivindicaban un inminente sabotaje firmado por “Earth Liberation Front Switzerland” (Frente de Liberación Animal de Suiza) contra un centro de investigación, en fase de construcción, sobre nanotecnologías de IBM en Ruschlikon (cantón de Zúrich). Fueron procesadxs de actos preparativos de incendio, transporte ilegal y ocultación de material explosivo, y condenadxs el 22 de julio del 2011, Costa a 3 años y 8 meses, Billy a 3 años y 6 meses, y Silvia a 3 años y 4 meses.
