Esquive aime bien l’histoire.
Elle y puise de l’inspiration. Elle y trouve un peu de baume contre le fatalisme en se souvenant de la détermination et du courage des révoltés du passé. À la mémoire officielle et bien pensante des vainqueurs, elle oppose le souvenir de celles et ceux qui ont osé défier l’ordre établi. Ceux qu’on enterre deux fois en les reléguant dans les poubelles humiliantes de l’Histoire après les avoir assassinés, comme Skander Vogt. En les oubliant avec soin, comme les grévistes de 1898. En faisant d’eux des dégénérés, comme Luccheni. Ignorés, ces opprimés ont aussi en commun d’avoir eu affaire à la maison poulaga. Esquive en parle beaucoup, des cognes. Et ça a peu de chance de s’arrêter, dans une Genève qui se peint en bleu.
