On Monday 2/3, the cops of the counter-terrorism agency invaded at the home of the mother of Christos and Gerasimos Tsakalos, members of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, where they capture the fugitive Angeliki Spyropoulos and the wife of the latter. Simultaneously, they also arrested the mother of the comrades in the Appeal Court where she had presented to testify voluntarily and the investigator did to accept her. Similarly, on Friday 05/03 they also arrested the brother of George Polydoros and presented him before the persecutor with the same charges.

In an unprecedented manipulation of the state apparatus, to the offense of harboring criminals, the charge membership in a terrorist organization was added and the two women were detained. Despite the fervent desire of the counter-terrorism agency and  the judges, they failed to link them to any action or to some proof of their involvement in the organization.

We understand these developments as criminalization of even family relations of the various persecuted comrades and as an immoral vindictiveness towards comrades and they were not able to bend no matter how hard they tried.

And even more as an exemplary punishment of people who do not abandon their own, do not close their door to the persecuted, who have the strength and dignity to stand proudly beside them throughout their detention.

On Monday 2/3 the members of CCF and Angeliki Spyropoulou have started a hunger strike until the release of the two women.
