Turkish forces massacre 2 kids in Cizre

ŞIRNAK (DİHA) – Onslaught by state forces has claimed two more civilian lives in Cizre district of Şırnak where a state of siege continues for 33 days.

During yesterday’s artillery strikes on Cudi neighborhood, cannon shells fired by Turkish forces hit a civilian house, leaving three kids inside heavily wounded.

Among these, 12-year-old Yusuf Akalın died last night, while others remained under treatment at hospital.

Yusuf’s cousin 10-year-old Büşra Akalın has also died while receiving treatment at Mardin State Hospital today.

The other kid, Dilan Akalın, remains in critical condition

SİİRT (DİHA) – Police forces conducted house raids in Şeyh Mahmut Square in Siirt centre along the day. Five people were executed by police.

While many neighborhoods in the city have been encircled by police forces since last night, the city is witnessing an activity of Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles since early this morning. Sporadic gunshots are being heard from the neighborhoods where clashes are reported to be taking place. At least one police has reportedly been killed.

In the meantime, photos have been circulated on social media purportedly of the two people being dragged on the street after their execution in last night’s raid.

Turkish mortar attack in Cizre: One killed, 5 wounded

ŞIRNAK (DİHA) – In Cizre district of Şırnak where a siege and curfew continues for 33 uninterrupted days, state forces continue conducting artillery strikes on neighborhoods protected by popular resistance led by youths.

Turkish military forces have today started to conduct mortar attacks in the town as they are yet to make an advance into the areas of self-rule where resistance by local self-defense units endures against the intensified aggression.

A mortar shell fired by military forces hit a civilian house in Şah neighborhood, leaving at least 6 people inside wounded. The six civilians, three of whom suffered heavy injuries, were taken to Cizre State Hospital.

38-year-old Veli Müjde has died soon after referral to hospital, while the others remain under treatment.
