I gave the state an ultimatum: reinstate my communications or I’ll refuse blood pressure meds – which will lead to heart attack, stroke, or aneurysm. The state hasn’t budged and neither have I. Dans la nuit du 31 décembre au 1° janvier, des feux d’artifice ont éclaté devant le centre de rétention administratif de Cornebarrieu ainsi que devant le centre de détention de Seysse, en solidarité avec les prisonnières et les prisonniers.
[autodérision on] Au cours d’une nuit incandescente, des engins pirotechniques ont pris leur envol afin d’ouvrir une brêche dans l’existant et d’égayer un court instant le triste ciel des invisibles. [autodérision off] Feu à toutes les prisons. Que crève l’état.
This afternoon the extradition order for two more of the free5 students was rejected by the court. Once again a number of people spoke in defence of the students facing extradition while the other side pushed for them to be sent to Italy. In the end the court decided against the European Arrest Warrant. So far the threat of extradition has been removed for four of the five students.
The threat has not yet been removed completely however as there is one more court appearance on Monday for another of the defendants. While the court was in session earlier today a number of people from the solidarity assembly for the students occupied the ASOEE university in Athens to show their support. There is a call for an assembly at the occupied ASOEE today at 8pm and for solidarity with the last of the students to face the court on Monday 11/1 at 9:30am.
First victory for the students
The recent hearing concerned 2 of the 5 students- these at least, will not be extradited to Italy, and will have their restrictive movement conditions dropped. The decisions for the others remaining will follow soon…

in queste ore cominciano ad arrivare i primi aggiornamenti da Atene in riferimento alla richiesta di estradizione per i 5 studenti greci accusati di aver partecipato agli scontri del 1°maggio 2015 a Milano in occasione della manifestazione No Expo. I giudici greci stamane si sono pronunciati per quattro studenti (il quinto ed ultimo sarà giudicato lunedì 11), rifiutando la richiesta della procura di Milano la quale si vede sfumare il tentativo di usare un mandato europeo per reprimere le lotte sociali.
