Sono note a tutti le mosse di propaganda di Facebook verso la costruzione di un’immagine di “buono” nella rete. La retorica dello strumento al servizio dell’umanità, già adottata da tante altre aziende come Apple o Google è ormai da tempo compresa nella sua realtà di strumento utile alla costruzione di un marchio di valore, sul quale raggranellare milioni in Borsa o attraverso sponsorizzazioni. Eppure sembra che il rapporto tra web 2.0, messa a valore, sfruttamento biopolitico e costruzione di soggettività si stia avviando verso nuove sperimentazioni.

Silhan Ozcelik convicted of trying to join the PKK

Silhan Özçelik, an 18 year-old Kurdish woman from London, has been convicted of trying to go abroad join the PKK. Silhan has been held on remand in Holloway prison since January charged with ‘engaging in conduct in preparation to for giving an effect to an intention to commit acts of terrorism’ under section 5 (10)(a) of the Terrorism Act 2006. It’s apparently the first time a British person has been convicted for trying to join the PKK.
