| REKNAW are back for the Deptford Urban Free Festival. Known simply as ‘Fordham Park’ by those who were there in the early 90’s – members of the original crew, in collaboration with local community groups and venues – have revived this legendary event, now renamed ‘PARTY IN THE PARK’
———–The Story ———- The Deptford Urban Free Festival was a real ‘for the people, by the people’ celebration, featuring some of the best underground bands of the time. In those days, there weren’t 20 festivals every weekend, everyone was learning on the job, getting stuck in and making it up as they went along. Fordham Park was something really special – there was a great community spirit – we felt we were part of something BIG ! – and we want another taste of it – thank you very much. “You can’t kill the spirit” Lineup for the REKNAW stage. COITUS – HEADJAM – BLURT – DAMIDGE – CZAPA – SHOCKS OF MIGHTY – JAKAL – RAGS RUDI – THE SKRAELINGS All killer, no filler as they say ! plus LILIAN DEEJAY SKA spinning classic punk n ska tunes. Some of these you might know, some of them you won’t – but for an afternoon in the park – it’s bang on !
