The Anarchist Library has been updated! As the library unfolds and develops into its current iteration, we would like to share with you some of new and exciting things happening and remind you of some old ones.
New torrent: The old files, as of October 2014 have been archived in a torrent release, which you can grab by pointing your preferred torrent client here:
anarchist-libraries-2014-10-04.torrent
The torrent ships the usual collection of ISO files, meant to be extracted or burned on a CD (for smaller libraries) or DVD and includes all the libraries (English, Spanish, Finnish, Macedonian, Serbo-Croatian, Russian). Please seed.
New mobile-friendly layout: Texts on the library now get along better with your mobile platform (Android, iOS, Windows phone). The formatting and overall appearance of the text should fit on your screen and make the experience as enjoyable as reading on a mobile can be.
Enhanced bookbuilder: A little used feature, but a powerful one that allows you to can change the layout (fonts, dimensions, paper, margins) of the texts on the library. The beauty of the library is up to the eye of the beholder! You can also merge texts to create your own booklet, like creating a reader on your preferred topic of, “Introduction to Anarchism” for example. You can add texts to the bookbuilder by clicking on the “plus” icon near the downloads of each text. You can add and remove the texts later as well.
Improved PDF style: The PDFs have been rebuilt and improved to be more easily digestible, while keeping with the simple & clean layout of before.
HTTPS self-signed certificate: You can now browse the library with https by pointing broswer to https://theanarchistlibrary.org and accepting the self-signed certificate

As usual, the library is open for contribution for those interested in working on the project. We’re always interested in your questions, feedback, and remarks. If you’re unfamiliar with the project, please have a look at the “About the project” page:

And finally, a while back a user created “teh manual for revolutionary librarians” for those interested in working on the project, but unsure of how to approach it. Below we have included this brief introduction to the project:

The library is alive and can always use a little love and help in maintaining what has grown into the largest online resource of quality anarchist text. Those interested in digital and print archives surrounding the beautiful anarchist idea need only begin. Homebrewed from code that is publicly available at http://www.amusewiki.org Have a look, if you’re curious about what is underneath the pavers of the library.
Stuff to do:
1.) Submit quality anarchist text(s) to the library. The two big areas are – checking for prior entry (always check) and correctly formatted texts, although WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor does most if lucky, with manual formatting also an option. http://www.amusewiki.org/library/manual
2.) Keep the library alive. Have a look through the wiki to familiarize yourself with what has only partially been recorded: http://bookshelf.theanarchistlibrary.org/ The leech sites, wishlists, and the classics are all good sections for pieces that have been recommended by other librarians for addition, so please feel free to add them. Creating a wiki account is best, but you can do it anon as well if desired. Pages can also be created on the wiki to address ideas, share info, etc.
3.) Contact us: We are looking for your suggestions, ideas, commentary, advice, recommendations, hate mail, you name it, etc. on features and things that you’d like the see on the library. Most of all, we are looking for your help, especially if you have an idea about something specific. Sometimes you can find librarians or other enthusiasts on IRC by aiming your favourite client towards:
