Ferhat Doğru, who was shot by police during yesterday’s attacks on Amed’s Sur district, has lost his life while receiving treatment at hospital.

The 18-year-old youth was deliberately targeted as police and special forces attacked the people in Hasırlı neighborhood during yesterday’s continued operation in the central Sur district.

People could hardly take Doğru out of the neighborhood and rush him to Dicle University Hospital amid intense fire by Turkish ‘security forces’. The youth who had been receiving treatment since yesterday, has lost his life today despite all the medical efforts.

With Doğru’s death, the number of civilians killed by police and special forces in Hakkari, Siirt and Amed since after November 1 election rose to 9.
