(Anti-fascists carrying banner saying: Nationalism is the root of fascism.)

On the 6th of December, on the Finnish independence day, different neo-fascist, fascist, nazi and racist groupings joined forces to march in the streets of Helsinki. Anti-fascist demonstrators mobilized against it in a demonstration called something like “Freedom in the game”. Apart from a framing by both mass media and police the weeks before the demonstration as both “violent” and “dangerous”, 300 people came and managed, in pouring rain, to get close to the fascist march twice and disturb it. Cops panicked and shot protestors with so called “less lethal weapons”.
