PKK and PAJK prisoners in Turkish jails will go on a three-day hunger strike in protest at the isolation of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan and genocidal attacks targeting civilian people in North Kurdistan.

In a statement on behalf of PKK and PAJK prisoners, Deniz Kaya said the hunger strike will begin tomorrow and last three days, but their protests will be stepped up together with the raising voice of the people in the event that fascist practices do not end.
Kaya pointed out that the AKP government was conducting an aggression in a quite blatant and irresponsible manner because it knew very well that it was doomed to be defeated by the will of peoples.
Kaya said the AKP’s genocidal and annihilation executions against Kurdish people and the imposition of an aggravated isolation on their leader tested and pushed the Kurdish people’s limits of tolerance.
Describing the transfer of two İmralı inmates to Silivri Prison as an open and dangerous threat against the Kurdish people and movement, Kaya underlined that; “No single power should test us with our Leader. The Turkish state and its governments know very well about the anger inflicted on our people and movement by the threats directed to our Leader who is our free will and honour; and our reason for war and peace, life and death. Those who laid their bodies to death in prisons in 12 September period, immolated themselves, shot the first bullet of resistance did all call our Leader’s name, saying “Our Sun cannot be darkened.”
Kaya stressed that they cannot be expected to remain silent in the face of the threats and fascist acts aimed at Kurdish people and their leader, and urged the AKP ruling to keep its hands off the Kurdish people’s leader in order to avoid dragging the country into a bedlam.
Kaya called upon all oppressed peoples of Turkey and those who do not want to leave their future to the mercy of fascist governments to adopt a stance against this atrocity, raise their voices for the ending of the isolation and reinitiation of negotiations with Öcalan, guarantor of peace.
PKK and PAJK prisoners said their hunger strike will last from 26 to 28 January, adding that their protests will be stepped up together with the raising voice of the people in the event that fascist practices do not end.

Miembros del PKK (Partido de los Trabajadores del Kurdistán) y PAJK (Partido de la Liberación de la Mujer del Kurdistán) presos en las cárceles turcas se han puesto en huelga de hambre de tres días en protesta por el aislamiento del líder del pueblo kurdo Abdullah Öcalan y los ataques genocidas dirigidos a los civiles en el norte de Kurdistán.
En una declaración en nombre del PKK y PAJK lxs prisionerxs indicaron que la huelga de hambre comenzada durara tres días, pero sus protestas se irán intensificado en el caso de que las prácticas fascistas no terminan.
Señalan que el gobierno del AKP esta llevando a cabo una agresión de una manera muy descarada e irresponsable porque sabe muy bien que esta condenado a ser derrotado por la voluntad de los pueblos.
Indican que ejecuciones genocidas y la aniquilación por parte del AKP contra pueblo kurdo y la imposición de un aislamiento de su líder con agravantes probados, condicionan los límites de tolerancia del pueblo kurdo.
Al describir la transferencia de dos reclusos Imrali a la prisión de Silivri como una amenaza abierta y peligrosa contra el pueblo kurdo y el movimiento, se subraya que; “Ningún poder nos debería probar con nuestro Líder El Estado turco y sus gobiernos saben muy bien acerca de la ira infligida a nuestro pueblo y hacia el movimiento por las amenazas dirigidas a nuestro líder, por ello con nuestro libre albedrío y nuestro honor estamos decididos con nuestra razón para la guerra y la paz, la vida y la muerte. Los que pusieron sus cuerpos a la muerte en las prisiones en el 12 período de septiembre, se inmolaron, disparó la primera bala de la resistencia hizo todo llamar el nombre de nuestro Líder, diciendo: “Nuestro Sol no puede ser oscurecido.”
Se hace hincapié en que no se puede esperar que permanezcan en silencio frente a las amenazas y los actos fascistas dirigidas a los kurdos y su líder, e instan al gobernante AKP para mantener sus manos fuera del pueblo kurdo y de su líder si quieren evitar arrastrar al país a una algarabía.
Se exhorta a todos los pueblos oprimidos de Turquía y aquellos que no quieren dejar su futuro a merced de gobiernos fascistas de adoptar una postura en contra de esta atrocidad, levantar la voz para el final del aislamiento y el reinicio de las negociaciones con Öcalan, garante de paz.
PKK y PAJK prisionerxs dijeron que su huelga de hambre durará del 26 al 28 de enero y agregaron que sus protestas se intensificarán, junto con la elevación de la voz de las gentes en el caso de que las prácticas fascistas no terminan.
