“In the run up to Saturday 2nd of April’s attempted fascist demonstration in Dover and the accompanying anti-fascist counter mobilisation, five anti-fascists from various groups across the country were arrested over actions they are alleged to have taken while defending themselves and others at a previous counter protest against fascism in Dover.

These activists face various public order charges, which could result in large fines or prison time. They are required to travel from wherever they live back to Kent to stand trial or to answer bail and have had oppressive bail conditions imposed upon them banning them from exercising their right to freedom of expression by attending protests.

Merseyside Anti-Fascist Network is raising money to support those activists arrested while fighting fascism.”
