On 02/03 started a wide struggle with a massive hunger strike of anarchists and other political prisoners, which brings a number of very important issues on the surface. At the same time began a hunger strike of the imprisoned members of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, for the immediate release of their relatives who have no connection with the case. Simultaneously, anarchists Angeliki Spyropoulou and Panagiotis Michalakoglou started a hunger strike and an abstain from prison meals respectively, supporting the request of the CCF.

Despite individual differences within the struggle context stated by the strikers, we believe that most of the requests exceed the situation of prison and involve a wider group of anarchists. The abolition of the article 187 (criminal organization), the article 187A (counter-terrorist law), the law concerning, of type C prisons and the blockage of the legal framework for the repressive use of DNA, are targets concerning all those anarchists involved with theory and actions in the anarchist war against domination. These requests trigger a political conflict with the general repressive framework, developed by the regime with a view to persecute and capture the inner enemy, regardless of the means of struggle chosen. We are also actively in solidarity with CCF and support the demand for the immediate release of their relatives as it stands against the vindictive fury of the repressive mechanisms.

Whatever the disagreements and different perceptions we have with many of the strikers, the context of a struggle is stated by its subjects. Anarchists outside the walls are called to place themselves theoretically and practically in regard to this context. We believe that the largest part of these demands concerns very important issues, therefore it must be supported in its core, as a potential positive or negative outcome of this struggle will not only affect prisoners (comrades or not) but also many anarchists who are not in captivity. However, the support to the struggle in progress, does not mean that our differences are eradicated, nor that there is necessarily a theoritical and practical affinity. We believe that comrades of insurrectionary, black anarchy can participate in the struggle with relative autonomy, with our own initiatives and actions, while enhancing the overall processes and solidarity activities when we consider that these suit them.
