This saturday we will cheer PKN and internationalism at Kupoli!
Let’s leave behind all that pointless nationalism and make Eurovisions open for everyone. While watching live stream of the contest we will cheer the creative potential of communities and Eurovisions’ borderless future.
Before the show a collection of the best Eurovisions classics is played. Snacks and drinks will be served whole night.
Free entrance!
Kupoli safe space policy (

Safe space
We are working to make Kupoli a safer space. Our aim is to create a relaxed atmosphere so that people can communicate and hang out without pressure, in a supporting environment. We believe that everyone in this space must try to find the courage to step up and intervene in aggressive and oppressive behavior whenever that may occur. If it feels hard, ask for a comrade for support! Your actions affect our collective space and people near you!
About prejudices
This space stands against violence and intolerance. It is not a space for racist, sexist, homophobic, or transphobic behavior, or any kind of acts or language that maintains privilege or other forms of oppression; this also entails prejudices against the social backround or the way people look. Do not make assumptions about anyone’s identity, gender, sexual orientation, or ”where they’re from”.
Respect physical and emotional boundaries
Don’t touch others without their consent. Acknowledge that you cannot tell where anyone’s boundaries are unless you ask. What is comfortable for you, may be unpleasant for someone else. You are the one responsible for your action. Words can be used to break boundaries, too: respect the experience of others and allow them space to express their thoughts.
Check your privilege and make room for everybody
With our actions and words, we take part in producing power relations. Take a minute to think how different forms of privilege affect your position and your chances to use power, act, move and feel safe.
When are you in your comfort zone? When do yu take up space particularly effortlessly? About what things or groups of people is it easy for you to crack a joke about? Could you make room for others in some way?
Are you using more speaking turns that others? When did you last give a turn to the one that we’ve heard the least? How does your gender become a part of how you use space?
Who do you take seriously? On what grounds do you think the one person is more convincing than the other?
Go through the assumptions you may have made about others without thinking, and ask yourself why you made them in the first place.
We believe that recognizing our privileges and challenging behavior that creates hierarchies is everyone’s responsibility. Take responsibility for the well-being of yourself and others! If you or someone around you has to compromise their well-being, or you need help with something, seek support from others and bring up the issue so it can be discussed together.
Let’s try to communicate constructively, not judging, competing, dismissing others’ viewpoints, or crushing what they just said!
Together our skills become stronger. Let’s share knowledge and know-how, and encourage ourselves and each other to try new tasks and roles.
On conditions of using Kupoli and other essential stuff
The space is non-smoking.
The space is non-accessible. The elevator only takes you to the 7th floor, where you must take the stairs up to the 8th. The toilets are not spacious enough for a wheelchair. If you need help to enter the space, contact the organizers of the event.
At all events (including when renting the space) there must be present at least one person to whom to turn in problematic situations. At larger events it’s good to mark those people with a sleeve band etc. The people responsible will intervene in unwanted behavior. Let them know if you experience harrasment! If you can’t find them in a party, ask at the bar. The organizers will kick out jerks if needed.
Let’s make Kupoli a space where we can all feel at home in!
