According to latest updates (June 2015), Evi Statiri – the life companion of anarchist prisoner Gerasimos Tsakalos – has been denied release from prison three times already by the special appellate judge Eftichis Nikopoulos (the same bastard who has repeatedly rejected applications for educational leave in the case of anarchist prisoner Nikos Romanos).

Today, April 6th 2015, the mother of two members of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire – comrades Christos and Gerasimos Tsakalos – walked out of Koridallos prison. Her bail has been set at 10,000 euros.
The companion of Gerasimos Tsakalos is still in custody (since 2/3). According to people in solidarity with the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, her release is expected in the coming period.

On April 1st, Athena Tsakalou (mother of the Tsakalos brothers) stated that she refuses to walk out of prison until her daughter-in-law is also granted release. The two women, who were remanded in custody over the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire intended prison escape, are currently sharing a cell in Koridallos prison.

Today in the morning around 6 a.m., the hunger striker Mihalis Nikolopoulos almost suffered a heart attack as his heart rate was 25 beats per minute and his blood pressure 8/2,5. One and a half dose of injectable atropine was administered to him as a single dose wasn’t enough. His state of health is currently somewhat more stable (40beats per minute) but the risk of a cardiac arrest is imminent and can happen anytime.

[Nota de Sin Banderas Ni Fronteras: el siguiente texto que hemos traducido desde el inglés, fue escrito el año 2012 por Athena Tsakalou, madre de los compañeros Christos y Gerasimos, miembros encarceladxs de Conspiración de Células del Fuego, en el contexto del juicio en el llamado “Caso Halandri”. En dicho momento, el texto fue difundido en inglés por Contrainfo. Tres años después, volvemos a saber de Athena tras ser detenida en su casa el día 2 de marzo de 2015 en una operación de la agencia antiterrorista griega que terminó también con la detención de otras personas cercanas familiar y socialmente a lxs compañerxs de CCF y con la captura de la compañera Aggeliki, prófuga desde el arresto de Christos Xiros a comienzos de año. Valoramos el posicionamiento expresado en 2012 por Athena y lo difundimos en español hoy (ya que solo lo pudimos encontrar en inglés) como gesto de solidaridad con ella y de complicidad con lxs compañerxs que hoy se encuentran en huelga de hambre hasta las últimas consecuencias exigiendo la excarcelación de sus seres queridxs.]
