Helsinki, Finland: New Year’s visit to the detention unit in Metsälä
New Year’s protests against the prison system in solidarity with those imprisoned are becoming an anarchist tradition in Helsinki. Even during celebration we want to tell the oppressed and incarcerated that they have not been forgotten. Join us on Tuesday 31st December on our visit to Metsälä detention centre in Niittylänpolku 10, Helsinki.

Finland: Meanwhile, in Tampere…
There’s big news in Finland right now. An estimated 500 people protested the December 6 presidential celebration in Tampere during ice hockey demo against nationalism and capitalism. Banks and department store windows were smashed and cops attacked.

Baltic Anarchist Winter Meeting 5th of January 2014 in Helsinki
The first Baltic Anarchist Meeting was held in Tallinn, Estonia in May 2012. The meeting was attended by many anarchists from many countries and the atmosphere was good and exciting. Second gathering will be arranged 5.1.2014 in Helsinki, a day after Father frost against Putin-festival.
