A solidarity campaign is underway in Greece to block the extradition to Italy of five students in regards to the events in Milan on the 1st May. This is a case that will have implications for international organising.

UPDATE FROM THE 28/11 DAY OF ACTION AGAINST #NOEXPO ARRESTS IN ATHENS – GREECE
On Saturday 28th of November, the day that had been declared European
action day against the Expo 2015 that was also the 1of May celebration
in Milan, during the movement against Expo, 5 students were taken
into custody in Italy while 5 students were being prosecuted in Greece
and they are now waiting the decree of the council of appeals, and
the final answer to whether they are going to be released to the
Italian authorities or not. More information on the subject here:

Updates on the campaign which began in Athens against the arrests related to the events of 1st May in Milan
In the morning of 12th November the Greek police raided 5 comrades’ homes; they are students and also active participants in the people’s assembly of Aghia Paraskevi, one of the many Athens’ neighbourhood assemblies animated by people of all sorts, youths and elderly, mothers, migrants, etc., and which originated in the years 2008/2012, when the economic crisis was biting hard and many people decided to organize themselves together in order to improve their lives.
Primo maggio a Milano: gli arresti visti da Atene
Erano stati annunciati e puntualmente, chiuso il gran baraccone di Expo, arrivano nuovi arresti e perquisizioni per la manifestazione del Primo maggio di Milano, con l’accusa di devastazione e saccheggio. A oggi quattro compagni sono in carcere a Milano, altri sono indagati a piede libero, mentre per cinque greci è stato spiccato un mandato di cattura europeo: un’enormità che si aggiunge allo sproposito delle accuse.
