On Wednesday October 30 in Genoa, (Italy) the first part of the trial against Nicola Gai and Alfredo Cospito, accused of kneecapping the managing director of
Ansaldo Nucleare (a company owned by Finmeccanica) Roberto Adinolfi in May 2012, took place. They had been held in pre-trial detention for a year and so far they hadn’t made any declarations to the judge. The previous day the bourgeois press announced a massive police
deployment and the ‘block of the city’. Moreover the two comrades were only transferred to Genoa on the morning of the 30th and not the day before, even though the trial was due to start at 9:30am, probably to fend off any solidarity gatherings outside the prison. But, as we read in the press a few days earlier, this didn’t prevent the explosion of a paper bomb near the AS2 section of Ferrara prison, where Alfredo and Nicola are being detained along with comrades Sergio Maria Stefani (the last prisoner of ‘operation Ardire’) and Adriano Antonacci (imprisoned following a ROS operation at the Castelli Romani); nor did it prevent an ENI Store from being trashed in solidarity in Turin a few days earlier. There were a number of checks carried out by the Digos on the cars of those who came to Genoa to attend the trial and on the local comrades as they left their homes.
About two hundred comrades (more than expected) responded to the call to be present in solidarity and gathered outside the court to show to the two comrades that they are not alone in the face of the enemy, to show to all those who branded them as furious madmen that they are not isolated and that many anarchists still support one another in the face of the State. The police deployment was as expected, with over a hundred cops of all kinds, carabinieri and antiriot cops,
as well as many Digos cops in plain clothes who filmed the people from all angles and ‘escorted’ us in all our moves. Journalists were also numerous, and didn’t fail in their role of zealous vultures, which they have always been, especially in Italy [the Italian press has been largely following the Adinolfi case since the beginning and making the most of it, in particular during the days preceding the trial, whose 30-second hearing is entirely available in internet videos].
The entrances to the court were quickly blocked and just 24 people were allowed to attend the trial (in a small room, obviously in order to prevent the presence of the public). Right at the start of the trial Alfredo started to read a declaration without the judge’s permission; amidst insults the judge had Alfredo removed, followed by Nicola who had not even started to read his. Both declarations claim responsibility for the attack Alfredo and Nicola are accused of. The comrades in the room then left the court noisily, insulting the judges and shouting slogans. Comrades also made themselves heard outside the court: ‘freedom for all’ and ‘our desire for liberty is stronger than all authority’.
The trial went on without the defendants or the 24 comrades who were attending the hearing; the declarations were read by the attorneys and the prosecution demanded a 12-year sentence for Alfredo, considered the perpetrator of the gunshot, and a 10-year sentence for Nicola (and also a million euro as compensation to the State). Prosecutors Silvio Franz and Nicola Piacente were surprised that Alfredo and Nicola, after pleading guilty, ‘not only didn’t disown the action but also showed contempt for the authorities and the law’! On November 12 the trial will come end with the statement for the defence (which will try to have the charge of ‘terrorism’ dropped) and the sentence. Meanwhile the comrades who came in solidarity left the court together escorted/followed by antiriot cops on alert and some not very discreet spies with cameras, and ended the day with a discussion in a university hall occupied for the occasion, where they held a short meeting to discuss what to do next to express revolutionary solidarity with the comrades, following the solidarity
meetings that had taken place in Rome and Florence (as a response to the call out ‘With our heads held high’). Mobile groups of Digos cops remained ostensibly stuck to the anarchists in the city throughout the day.
The nuclear power industry, the civil as well as the military one, is one of the many horrors that infest this world with the resignation they spread, the authority and submission necessary to keep them going, the dispossession they generate, thus making control of our own lives impossible. Roberto Adinolfi is a frenzied champion of this deadly technology. Attacking him physically was just giving him back a tiny part of the oppression he spreads and supports with his activities.
The recurrent discussions among anarchists on the methods to be used and promoted in the attack on power are often a source of conflict and this is normal: by its very essence anarchism cannot be a univocal ideological church but rather a free association of unique and different individuals whocome together, or don’t, on the basis of affinity. Within anarchism there have always been practices as varied as the personalities of different individuals who identify with the same ideas. Anarchist action presents a variety of instruments very different from one another, which each one can choose according to their sensibility, what they are ready to do and risk. But beyond these individual choices it is up to us to recognize actions that tell us something, consistently with the ideas we spread, and therefore the comrades to whom we want to give solidarity so as to break the isolation that the State wants to impose by trying to marginalize actions of attack in order to individuate so-called ‘terrorists’ among subversives and make a distinction between ‘good ones’ and the ‘bad ones’, dividing in order to better repress them.
Of course solidarity cannot be uncritical or unconditional, and the support to imprisoned anarchists doesn’t mean that there is total affinity with everythingthey might say or do. So, for us the attack on this world carried out from an anarchist perspective doesn’t belong to an acronym or organization (FAI or other) and it cannot be summed up or monopolized by the self-referential network created by the sharing of that acronym. We want to spread conflict and attack inside society and against it, and not in a closed network which could become a virtual spectacle by dint of communiqués signed with acronyms (especially if they are always the same), a new kind of identity-based or organizational claim.
It is obvious to us today that the two comrades deserve our solidarity, critical or not, because more than ever the trial for the kneecapping of Adinolfi is an important question for the whole anarchist movement, in Italy as well as everywhere else. And we share Nicola and Alfredo’s perspective according to which the end of authority can only come through direct attack without relying on any mass uprising or revolution to be awaited arms crossed.
Let’s spread the practice of attack against this society of oppression and dominion by supporting in word and deed those who don’t bow down to repressionand continue to struggle for the ideas we all share.
Freedom to all the comrades investigated and imprisoned in Italy and elsewhere, who hold their heads high in the most difficult times, who struggle inside as they did outside, with the dignity that characterizes our anarchist perspectives and in the face of the cowardice and resignation spreading throughout the world. Genova (Italia) : resoconto della prima udienza del processo per la gambizzazione di Adinolfi
Mercoledì 30 ottobre si è tenuta a Genova la prima parte del processo a Nicola Gai ed Alfredo Cospito, accusati di aver gambizzato il direttore di Ansaldo Nucleare (società del gruppo Finmeccanica) Roberto Adinolfi, nel maggio 2012. Da un anno sono in detenzione preventiva e finora non hanno fatto alcuna dichiarazione di fronte alla giustizia.
Già il giorno precedente, la stampa borghese annunciava un imponente dispositivo poliziesco e il “blocco della città”. Tra l’altro, i due compagni verranno trasferiti a Genova soltanto il mattino del 30 e non il giorno precedente, anche se l’udienza è prevista per le 9,30, probabilmente per evitare un presidio davanti alla prigione. Ma ciò non ha impedito, come abbiamo letto sui giornali qualche giorno prima, che una bomba carta esplodesse nelle vicinanza della sezione AS2 di Ferrara, dove sono incarcerati Alfredo e Nicola, così come i compagni Sergio Maria Stefani (ultimo prigioniero dell’operazione Ardire) e Adriano Antonacci (prigioniero in seguito all’operazione dei ROS nei Castelli Romani); ciò non ha nemmeno impedito che un ENI Store di venisse fracassato in solidarietà, qualche giorno prima, a Torino. Ci saranno molti controlli, da parte della DIGOS, alle macchine di chi arriva a Genova per assistere al processo oppure a compagni del posto che escono da casa loro.
Circa duecento compagni (più di quanto sperato) hanno risposto all’appello ad una presenza solidale e si sono ritrovati davanti al tribunale per far vedere ai due compagni che non sono soli di fronte al nemico, per far vedere a tutti quelli che li hanno descritti come pazzi furiosi che non sono isolati e che per molti anarchici, ancora, di fronte allo Stato ci si sostiene a vicenda. Il dispositivo poliziesco è quello atteso, con più di un centinaio di guardie di ogni sorta, carabinieri e celerini, così come un massiccio dispiegamento di sbirri in borghese della DIGOS, che filmano le persone presenti da tutte le angolazioni possibili e ci “scortano” lungo ogni spostamento. Sono presenti in massa anche i giornalisti, che non mancano di essere gli zelanti avvoltoi che sono sempre stati, soprattutto in Italia [la stampa italiana, fin dall’inizio, ha largamente seguito il caso Adinolfi, specialmente in questo ultimi giorni, con il processo, la cui corta udienza di 30 secondi è integralmente diffusa in video su internet].
Le entrate del tribunale verranno rapidamente bloccate e soltanto 24 persone sono autorizzate ad assistere all’udienza (in una piccola sala, evidentemente per limitare la presenza di pubblico). All’inizio dell’udienza, Alfredo ha cominciato a leggere una dichiarazione, senza il permesso della giudice, che, fra il rumore degli insulti, l’ha subito fatto allontanare, seguito da Nicola che non aveva ancora nemmeno cominciato a leggere la sua dichiarazione. Le loro rispettive dichiarazioni rivendicano la responsabilità dell’attacco di cui sono accusati. Dietro di loro, i compagni presenti nella sala sono rumorosamente usciti dal tribunale, insultando i magistrati ed urlando degli slogan. Anche fuori i compagni si fanno sentire: “Tutti liberi / Tutte libere” e “Il nostro desiderio di libertà è più forte di ogni autorità”.
Il processo è quindi continuato senza gli accusati né i/le 24 compagni/e che assistevano all’udienza; le dichiarazioni sono state lette dalla procura e l’accusa ha chiesto delle pene di 12 anni per Alfredo, considerato come l’autore dello sparo, e di 10 anni per Nicola (e anche un milione di euro di risarcimento danni allo Stato). I procuratori Silvio Franz e Nicola Piacente si sono stupiti che, dopo la loro confessione, Nicola e Alfredo “non si dissocino, ma abbiano pure del disprezzo verso le autorità e le norme”! Il 12 novembre ci sarà la fine del processo, con la replica della difesa (il cui scopo principale sarà quello di far cadere il capo d’imputazione di “terrorismo”) e la sentenza.
Intanto i compagni solidali si sono allontanati in gruppo dal tribunale, scortati/seguiti dagli sbirri in tenuta antisommossa e sul chi vive e, poco discretamente, da qualche spione con la telecamera, per finire la giornata con un momento di discussione in un’aula dell’università, occupata per l’occasione per permettere una breve assemblea dove si è discusso del seguito da dare alla solidarietà rivoluzionaria con i compagni, in continuità con le assemblee solidali che hanno già avuto luogo a Roma e Firenze (a partire dall’appello “A testa alta”). Per tutto il resto della giornata, gruppetti mobili della DIGOS sono rimasto ostensibilmente incollati agli anarchici presenti in città.
L’industria nucleare, civile così come nucleare, fa parte dei numerosi orrori che infestano questo mondo, con la rassegnazione che essi diffondono, l’autorità e la sottomissione necessarie per mantenerli, lo spossessamento che essi generano, rendendo impossibile il nostro controllo sulle nostre proprie vite. Roberto Adinolfi è uno sfrenato difensore di questa tecnologia mortifera. Attaccarlo fisicamente è stato solo restituirgli un’infima parte dell’oppressione che lui diffonde e sostiene con le sue attività.
Le ricorrenti discussioni, fra anarchici, sui metodi da utilizzare e promuovere nell’attacco contro il potere sono molto spesso fonte di conflitti, ed è normale: per la sua stessa essenza, l’anarchismo non può essere una cappella ideologica univoca, ma piuttosto una libera associazione di individui unici e diversi che si ritrovano oppure no sulla base di affinità. Nel suo seno hanno sempre coabitato pratiche tanto varie quanto le personalità dei differenti individui che si riconoscono nelle stesse idee. L’azione anarchica presenta una varietà di strumenti molto diversi, che ciascuno può scegliere secondo la sua sensibilità, quello che è pronto a fare e a rischiare. Ma, al di là di queste scelte individuali, tocca a noi riconoscere le azioni che ci dicono qualcosa, coerentemente con le idee che propugniamo, e quindi i compagni a cui vogliamo portare la nostra solidarietà, per rompere l’isolamento che lo Stato vuole imporre cercando di marginalizzare l’azione offensiva, designando dei cosiddetti “terroristi” fra i sovversivi, facendo la distinzione fra “buoni” e “cattivi”, separando per meglio reprimere.
Certo, la solidarietà non può essere acritica né incondizionata ed il sostegno a degli anarchici detenuti non significa una totale affinità con tutto quello che possono dire o fare. Così, per noi, l’attacco a questo mondo in una prospettiva anarchica non appartiene ad una sigla o ad una qualunque organizzazione (FAI od altra) e non può essere riassunto né monopolizzato dal network autoreferenziale creato dalla condivisione di questa sigla. Noi vogliamo diffondere la conflittualità e l’attacco nel seno della società e contro di essa, e non in un network chiuso che potrebbe diventare uno spettacolo virtuale a forza di comunicati firmati con sigle (a maggior ragione se fisse) che diventano un nuovo tipo di rivendicazione identitaria od organizzativa.
Ci pare oggi evidente che i due compagni meritano la nostra solidarietà, critica o no, perché più che mai il processo per la gambizzazione di Adinolfi è una questione importante per tutto il movimento anarchico, in Italia come altrove. E noi condividiamo la prospettiva di Nicola ed Alfredo secondo cui la fine di ogni autorità non arriverà che tramite l’attacco diretto, senza contare su un qualunque sollevamento di massa, una rivoluzione che bisognerebbe aspettare a braccia conserte.
Diffondiamo pratiche offensive contro questa società di oppressione e di dominio, sostenendo con le parole e con gli atti quelle e quelli che non arretrano di fronte alla repressione e continuano a battersi per le idee che condividiamo.
Libertà per tutti/e i/le compagni/e indagati e detenuti in Italia come altrove, quelli e quelle che mantengono la testa alta nei momenti più difficili, che lottano dentro come lottavano fuori, con la dignità che caratterizza le nostre prospettive anarchiche, di fronte alla vigliaccheria ed alla rassegnazione che questo mondo diffonde. Mandiamo anche un pensiero a Sergio, detenuto in seguito alle operazioni Ardire e Shadow.

Gênes (Italie) : Compte-rendu de la première audience du procès de la jambisation d’Adinolfi
Mercredi 30 octobre a eu lieu à Gênes (Ligurie) la première partie du procès de Nicola Gai et Alfredo Cospito, accusés de la jambisation du directeur d’Ansaldo Nucleare (du groupe Finmeccanica) Roberto Adinolfi en mai 2012. Ils étaient en détention préventive depuis un an et n’avaient rien déclaré à la justice jusqu’à maintenant. (Plus d’informations sur cette affaire en français ici).
La veille, la presse bourgeoise annonçait déjà un très fort dispositif policier et le « bouclage de la ville ». Les deux compagnons ne seront d’ailleurs transférés à Gênes que dans la matinée du 30 octobre et non la veille, alors que l’audience est prévue à 9h30, probablement pour éviter tout rassemblement devant la taule. Mais cela n’a pas empêché, comme nous l’avons appris dans la presse quelques jours plus tôt, un engin d’exploser à proximité de l’unité AS2 de Ferrara, où sont incarcérés Alfredo et Nicola, ainsi que les compagnons Sergio Maria Stefani (dernier prisonnier de l’opération Ardire) et Adriano Antonacci (prisonnier de l’opération des ROS à Castelli Romani), cela n’a pas empêché non plus une station ENI d’être fracassée en solidarité quelques jours plus tôt à Turin. Plusieurs contrôles de la DIGOS des voitures se rendant à Gênes pour assister au procès auront lieu, ou de compagnons sur place sortant de chez eux.
Environ deux cents compagnons (plus que ce qui était espéré) ont répondu à l’appel à une présence solidaire et se sont retrouvés devant le tribunal pour montrer aux deux compagnons qu’ils ne sont pas seuls face à l’ennemi, pour montrer à tous ceux qui les ont décrits comme des fous furieux qu’ils ne sont pas isolés et que pour beaucoup d’anarchistes encore, face à l’Etat, on se serre les coudes. Le dispositif policier est en effet au rendez-vous avec plus d’une centaine de flics en tout genre, des carabiniers et des flics anti-émeute, ainsi qu’un déploiement massif de civils de la DIGOS filmant les personnes présentes sous tous les angles possibles, et nous « escortant » pour tout déplacement. Les journalistes également sont présents en masse et ne manquent pas d’être les charognards zélés qu’ils ont toujours été, surtout en Italie [la presse italienne a depuis le début de l’affaire Adinolfi largement fait son beurre dessus, et notamment ces derniers jours avec le procès, dont la courte audience du 30 est diffusée intégralement en vidéo sur internet].
Les entrées du tribunal seront rapidement bloquées, et seules 24 personnes seront autorisées à assister à l’audience (dans une petite salle, manifestement pour y limiter la présence de public). Dès l’ouverture de l’audience, Alfredo a commencé à lire une déclaration sans la permission de la juge, qui l’a fait évacuer rapidement et sous le fracas des insultes, suivi de Nicola qui n’avait pas commencé la sienne. Leurs déclarations respectives revendiquent la responsabilité de l’attaque dont ils sont accusés. A leur suite, les compagnons présents dans la salle sont sortis bruyamment du tribunal, insultant les magistrats et criant des slogans. Dehors également, les compagnons se font entendre : « Tutti liberi / Tutte libere » et « Notre désir de liberté est plus fort que toute autorité ».
Le procès s’est donc poursuivi sans les inculpés ni les 24 compagnon/nes qui assistaient à l’audience, les déclarations ont été lues par le parquet et l’accusation a réclamé des peines de 12 ans de prison pour Alfredo, considéré comme l’exécutant du coup de feu, et 10 ans pour Nicola (ainsi qu’un million d’euros de dédommagement à l’Etat). Les procureurs Silvio Franz et Nicola Piacente se sont étonnés qu’après leur aveu, Nicola et Alfredo « ne se dissocient pas, mais ont même du mépris pour les autorités et les normes » ! Le 12 novembre aura lieu la fin du procès, avec la réponse de la défense (dont l’enjeu principal sera de faire tomber le chef d’inculpation de « terrorisme ») et le verdict.
Pendant ce temps, les compagnons solidaires se sont éloignés en groupe du tribunal, escortés/suivis par des flics en tenue anti-émeute sur le qui-vive et quelques espions à caméras peu discrets, pour finir la journée par un moment de discussion dans un amphi de l’université, occupé pour l’occasion pour permettre une courte assemblée où sera discutée la suite à donner à la solidarité révolutionnaire avec les compagnons, en continuité avec les quelques assemblées solidaires qui avaient déjà eu lieu à Rome et Florence (le texte d’appel « A testa alta » est en italien ici). Tout le reste de la journée, des groupes mobiles de la DIGOS colleront ostensiblement aux basques des anarchistes présents dans la ville.
L’industrie nucléaire, civile comme militaire, fait partie des nombreuses horreurs qui pourrissent ce monde par la résignation qu’elles diffusent, l’autorité et la soumission nécessaires pour les maintenir, la dépossession qu’elles engendrent, rendant impossible le contrôle de nos propres vies. Roberto Adinolfi est un défenseur forcené de cette technologie mortifère. L’attaquer physiquement n’a été que lui rendre une infime part de l’oppression qu’il répand et soutient par ses activités.
Les discussions récurrentes entre anarchistes sur les méthodes à utiliser et promouvoir dans l’attaque contre le pouvoir sont très souvent sources de conflit, cela est normal : par son essence même, l’anarchisme ne peut être une chapelle idéologique univoque mais plutôt une libre-association d’individus uniques et différents qui se retrouvent ou non sur la base d’affinités. En son sein ont toujours cohabité des pratiques toutes aussi variées que les personnalités des différents individus qui se reconnaissent dans de mêmes idées. L’action anarchiste présente un panel d’outils très divers, que chacun peut choisir suivant sa sensibilité, ce qu’il se sent prêt à faire et à risquer. Mais au-delà de ces choix individuels, à nous de reconnaître les actions qui nous parlent, en cohérence avec les idées que nous défendons, et donc les compagnons à qui nous voulons apporter notre solidarité, pour briser l’isolement que l’Etat veut imposer en cherchant à marginaliser l’action offensive pour distinguer de soi-disant « terroristes » parmi les subversifs, en distinguant des « gentils » et des « méchants », en séparant pour mieux réprimer.
Bien sûr, la solidarité ne peut être acritique ni inconditionnelle, et le soutien à des anarchistes incarcérés ne signifie pas une affinité totale avec tout ce qu’ils peuvent dire et faire. Ainsi, pour nous, l’attaque de ce monde dans une perspective anarchiste n’appartient pas à un sigle ou une quelconque organisation (FAI ou autre) et ne peut être résumée ni monopolisée par le réseau autoréférentiel que crée le partage de ce sigle. Nous voulons diffuser la conflictualité et l’attaque au sein de la société et contre elle, et non dans un réseau clos qui pourrait devenir un spectacle virtuel, par les communiqués signés de sigles (a fortiori fixes) qui deviennent une nouvelle sorte de revendication identitaire ou organisationnelle.
Il nous parait évident aujourd’hui que les deux compagnons méritent notre solidarité, qu’elle soit critique ou non, car plus que jamais, le procès de la jambisation d’Adinolfi est un enjeu pour tout le mouvement anarchiste, en Italie comme ailleurs. Et nous partageons la perspective de Nicola et Alfredo selon laquelle la fin de toute autorité ne se fera que par l’attaque directe, sans compter sur un quelconque soulèvement de masse, une révolution qu’il faudrait attendre les bras croisés.
Diffusons les pratiques offensives contre cette société d’oppression et de domination en soutenant en paroles et en actes celles et ceux qui ne lâchent rien face à la répression et continuent à se battre pour les idées que nous partageons.
Liberté pour tou-te-s les compagnon-ne-s poursuivi-e-s et incarcéré-e-s en Italie comme ailleurs, qui gardent la tête haute dans les moments les plus difficiles, qui luttent dedans comme ils luttaient dehors, avec la dignité qui caractérise nos perspectives anarchistes face à la lâcheté et la résignation que diffuse ce monde. Nous envoyons aussi une pensée à Sergio, dernier prisonnier des opérations Ardire et Shadow. Jusqu’à ce qu’il n’y ait plus de prisons, jusqu’à la fin de toute autorité !
