Update on the planning of a hunger strike in solidarity with inmates in Greek prisons, in Germany (18-20).
In Germany, the participants in the solidarity hunger strike are until now Oliver Rast from Berlin, Ahmet Düzgün Yüskel as well as Andreas Krebs. Andreas, in his early 40s has been in prison for over 16 years. He is a rebellious prisoner and participated in several hunger strikes and also tried to escape 2 times. He has achieved, that in the Aschaffenburg jail over 20 prisoners declared their solidarity with the solidarity strike. He has also written to prisoners in 2 other prisons. Thomas Meyer-Falk, imprisoned since 1996 and now in security detention in Freiburg, has written a solidarity message for the solidarity strike on July 18 to 20. Marco Camenisch, imprisoned in Switzerland and in jail for more then 20 years, will participate as well.

This is about the hunger striker prisoners in Greece
In Greece since June 23 thousands of prisoners fight back with a hunger strike against laws establishing High-security prisons.
At the protest already almost 4000 of about 12,000 of those imprisoned in Greek prisons are taking part.
Therefore, for solidarity and sympathy, a nationwide hunger strike is invoked.
Already in Berlin and some prisons in Bayern was the start date of 18-20 July recognized.
