Here come prosecutors’ demands concerning the trial against Chiara, Claudio, Mattia and Niccolò, imprisoned since 9th December 2013 on charges of terrorism. As they got excluded from the closing session of the [NO TAV] maxi-trial, zealous prosecutors Padalino and Rinaudo are focusing on this trial and giving vent to the ostentation of law codes, reconstructions and need for attention that they could not exhibit in the other trial.
So here they are showing off an unlikely reconstruction of the night [of the action of sabotage] and evoking a ‘paramilitary organization’, [terrorist] attack, will to harm people.
Words meant to increase the price of the sentence, which in the end is formulated in 9 years and 6 months of imprisonment for the comrades. ‘Armed violence organized in a paramilitary fashion in order to gain consensus and force the State to move back’. The two prosecutors (with Rinaudo ahead) described the damage on a bulldozer (because this is it, in a nutshell) as ‘an act of war’ meant to ‘attack the personality of the State’, as if the bulldozer was president Napolitano.
‘Whether you like it or not’, Rinaudo argued, ‘that this railway line is built up, anyone has their opinions but the realization of the work has been decided by the State’ and ‘this kind of behaviour strikes fundamental choices and interests of the State: choices of political economy, international politics and also environmental issues’. And policemen ‘were not attacked as individuals but as representatives of the State.’
We couldn’t expect anything different from the zealous duo, very heavy sentences to satisfy they thirst for celebrity and credibility and continue the crusade undertaken against the NO TAV movement, while they try to raise the biddings each time as the ‘TAV system’ loses credibility day by day.
As always, we won’t let Chiara, Claudio, Mattia and Niccolò alone, and tonight we’ll gather in Chiomonte, the best way to demonstrate that ‘to free everybody means to continue the struggle’.
