A march was held in solidarity with Nikos Romanos by Revolutionary Anarchist Action (DAF) at Taksim, Istanbul starting from Taksim Tunnel Square ending at Galatasaray Square. Police attacked the demo at close range at Galatasaray Square with batons and tear gas, initiating a small clash and causing two injuries. Following the tension a press declaration was made expressing solidarity with the hunger strikers and the demo was ended chanting, “Comrade Resists, Struggle Continues”. Two other calls were made for tonight, at 22.00 at Mehmet Ayvalitas Square in Kadikoy/Istanbul and at 18.00 at Kibris Sehitleri Caddesi in Izmir.
