Mr. Blue is free!

After almost 2.5 months of remand (#U-Haft) #MrBlue is free at last! So currently there are no Hambach Forest (#Hambi) prisoners (#Gefangenen)!

About: The trial has not been completed, because not enough witnesses were summoned. Mr. Blue was released under reporting requirements. We are very happy!

Trial against Mr. Blue on December 18th!



Since 22nd of October, our comrade Mr. Blue, who is active on the Hambach Forest Occupation, is inprisoned in Aachen. For the whole time, he has refused to give his identity, and the authorities were not able to find it out until now. So, he is still anonymous in prison, and will stay like this most likely until the trial has ended! Mr. Blue was arrested on the 7th of October, after he chained himself to one of the main coal conveyor belts in the hambach open cast mine. Allegedly, he bit the hand of a RWE Security worker.

The prison in Aachen used his insistence for stronger repression - without name, he was not allowed to do the applications which you need for almost everything there. The prosecution "forgot" for weeks to grant applicated visit admissions, and then the prison gave a date for the visit which is after the trial. In other prisons, it is possible to visit prisoners within one week after the request. Mr. Blue was not able to receive a single visit during his 2 and half months inprisonment!

The long inprisonment and the bullying are normal results of the prison system - but they are also sign for stronger repreesion against emancipatory movements in general and brown coal resistance in particular!
With the trial on the 18th, Mr. Blues inprisonment on remand ends - we will see what on what punishment the state decides.

Letter from Mr. Blue

This letter was in the WAA waiting for getting published. There is no date on it, but hopefully we can see Mr.Blue tomorrow.

Hello friends family and everybody interested in the blog.

I have been in jail for the last 2 months now and doing fine, although its not the first time in jail for me its the first time being incarcerated under false pretenses and statements. It scares me a bit that the lies of others make it so easy to rob me of my freedom. I did expected this when I started my actions, and its obvious they are making a example of me. No surprise no one asked me what happened so far.
After a month my mail started to come in, and how, I can hardly keep track of it all, but it warms my heart to know so many people are supporting us. A lot of people asked me to reply. I hope to be freed so I can make some phone calls if not I will start to write some personal letters.

So far for this post.

Florian, Marte and a third person are free!

On Friday dec. 18th 2015, 9:30 am the trial will take place against Mr. Blue before the district court of Düren, August-Klotz-Straße 14.

On Friday will take place in Düren the trial against Mr Blue, who is remanded in custody on October 7th in Aachen. When he was arrested, Mr Blue – as well as many other activists in Rhenania – refused to identify himself and the authorities still did not succeed to detect otherwise his personal details, which makes the trial and the judgement of particular interest and importance for the movement.

On Wednesday, dec. 16th 2015 the trial took place at 11:00 a.m. against NoNameYetPublicly before the Amtsgericht (district court) of Cologne. Meeting place for supporters was at 10 o’clock before the courthouse (Luxemburger Straße 101).
Judgment: 40 daily rate fines or days, of which 21 already have been served. So this person is free again!

December 10, 2015 Today Florian and Marte were released from prison in Cologne-Ossendorf, where loving people welcomed and hugged them. We are delighted, but don’t forget that two more of our friends are still in prison. Read more soon at this place. To all supporters thanks for the mountains of letters and other support!
