Three minors aged 13 and 16 were heavily wounded as a result of gunfire by police in Xaçort (Hacıbekir) neighborhood of Van’s central İpekyolu district.

Three minors aged 13 and 16 were heavily wounded as a result of gunfire by police in Xaçort (Hacıbekir) neighborhood of Van’s central İpekyolu district.

Police forces laid a siege on Xaçort neighborhood with armored vehicles late Sunday evening. Policemen got off their vehicles and opened random fire on the people on Zap street, as a result of which 3 minors aged 13 and 16 suffered heavy injuries.

Suat Orhan got shot in the stomach and Dündar Acar in the leg. Both have been taken under surgery at Van Regional Training and Research Hospital. Uğur Kurt was also shot by a bullet in the stomach and taken under surgery at Lokman Hekim Hospital. All the three are reported to be in critical condition.

Police forces blockaded the hospital and the street where people gathered after the incident.
