January 13 was officially the last day of investigation of the new case against Mikalai Dziadok. It lasted 2 months – they needed this long to investigate the alleged disobedience to lawful demands of the prison authorities. However, it turned out, that the investigator has questioned only the prison stuff, not a single cell-mate of Mikalai has been interrogated, who could comment on many facts. After a few days the prosecutor returned the case for further inquiry. Thus, the trial is postponed indefinitely. Meanwhile, Mikalai’s previous term runs out in a month. It’s highly probable that this protraction is done deliberately, to exhaust the prisoner and his relatives, and then to try him during his last days in prison.

Belarusian prisoners’ news. December 2014

As part of the investigation Mikalai Dziadok underwent psychiatric forensic examination in prison. Mikalai has been sentenced to 4.5 years of imprisonment within the frames of the so-called case of anarchists. He was found guilty in malicious hooliganism. On November 20, 3.5 months before his release from jail, a new action against him was taken for severe disobedience to the prison rules. Mikalai Dziadok faces a new prison term, up to 1 year.

Belarusian prisoners’ news. November 2014

On November 20 Mikalai Dziadok was charged with malicious disobedience to the demands of prison administration (art.411). This became known from a state lawyer, who had been called to attend the procedure. The case was started on November 13. In the near future the anarchist will be transferred to the pre-trial detention centre as a defendant.

Before that Dziadok had spent 8 days in a punishment cell, and was transferred to the solitary confinement. The prisoner must have been set free on March 3, 2015 after 4.5 year in prison. The new case can add a year to his final sentence.

Ihar Alinevich was put into a isolation cell on his birthday. All in all he had spent there 30 days in a row, allegedly for having refused to clean prison toilets. Recently he was granted a short date with his parents, who informed that he is feeling well and in high spirits. He is up to appealing the unfair punishment.

Despite the fact that court dismissed the appeal, Dzmitry Zvan’ko did not lose the hope and now looks forward to the expected amnesty in honor of 70 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War or parole. But in both cases he should to pay the full amount awarded by the court. A symbolic actions in support of Dzmitry have taken place in several cities of Belarus and Russia as well as the collection of money for compensation.
