Tandis que Syriza continue d’exercer le pouvoir dans une coalition avec un parti de la droite dure (ANEL) malgré des attaques anarchistes répétées, comme à l’occasion du mouvement massif des prisonniers révolutionnaires contre les prisons de Type C, les prisonniers anarchistes continuent de foutre le bordel et de se révolter, avec un appui massif dans les rues de toute la Grèce. Nikos est aujourd’hui l’un des emblèmes de cette période complexe et agitée, et d’une partie du mouvement anarchiste qui se refuse à reculer face au bulldozer Syriza ou à céder aux sirènes du populisme.

Durante 4 meses, el Estado ha mantenido prisionera a Evi Statiri, la compañera amorosa del compañero G.Tsakalos, y ha mantenido a su madre y la de C.Tsakalos, Athena Tsakalou, aislada en la isla de Salamina, privándola de la capacidad de ponerse en contacto con sus hijos.

Estas persecuciones sirven como venganza por la guerra que lxs miembrxs de la Conspiración de Células del Fuego han declarado y siguen librando incluso desde dentro de los muros de la prisión, sin dejar de buscar su libertad, preparando la destrucción de su prisión por sí mismxs.

(NB: Anarchist fighter and prisoner Nikos Romanos’ 31 day hunger strike ended on 10 December when, following a wave of solidarity demonstrations and riots, the Greek state gave in to his demand to be allowed to attend university classes. See earlier article. Since then the Syriza-ANEL government has unsurprisingly backtracked on this commitment, just as on their promises about austerity. Fuck Syriza and all its idiot left cheerleaders in the UK too: “total bastards, political swindlers, opportunists, hypocrites and professional chameleons”.)
