At around 7pm on 19th January, a repressive operation carried out by Turin police led to the notification of 10 compulsory residence orders to as many comrades, following an initiative that took place in May 2015 outside the premises of Urban, one of the agencies responsible for the gentrification of the city. The charges are private violence, damage and defacement. The prosecution had demanded house arrest for all.
The initiative was in response to the arrest of 4 comrades a few days earlier, on charges of obstructing a police raid against undocumented migrants.
15th January. Cash machines of the post offices on via Susa, via Porpora, via Saluzzo and via Petrarca are put out of use during the night. The walls of the buildings are also covered in graffiti in solidarity with those who struggle against the CIE, and against Mistral Air, the air company owned by Poste Italiane Trust, which carry out deportation of the undocumented ones..
Two vehicles used to carry out evictions and construct the new ‘container camp’ – an authorised concentration camp mostly for families within a much larger, semi-autonomous ‘jungle’ – were set fire to on Friday night in Calais near the new camp. There have been no declarations of responsibility, but according to the local press, graffiti with the words “no border” and “this is a prison” was also left on some of the shipping containers used to hold people on the new site. 15 gennaio. Nella notte alle filiali postali di via Susa, via Porpora, via Saluzzo e via Petrarca, i postamat vengono messi fuori uso. Le facciate degli uffici vengono inoltre vergate con scritte in vernice: alcune in solidarietà con chi lotta contro i Cie, altre contro la Mistral Air, compagnia aerea del Gruppo Poste Italiane che effettua le espulsioni dei senza-documenti.
On Saturday, the 23rd of January 2016, we want to protest against the planned expansion of the lagers at the former airport Tempelhof, against the democratically made Tempelhof-Law, against the profit-making with Refugees, against the horrible conditions in the refugee-camps and especially we protest against the housing of people in lagers in general!!
The demonstration starts at 2 o´clock pm (14:00) at Platz der Luftbrücke. From there, we will walk on to the Field of the former airport Tempelhof, to show the people who have to live in the camp our solidarity. On the 3-year anniversary of the assassination of Shahzad Luqman, we participate in the demonstration on Saturday 16/1 at 12:00 in Merkouri Square in Ano Petralona, Athens.
