La Repubblica 8 november 2015

Between 3:30 and 4 this morning an alarm went off on the line of the Bologna-Milan High Speed train: fires had been started in four different locations. Unknown persons set fire to electrical cables buried in the electrical substation’s Santa Viola, on the outskirts of the city. And then a writing on the ground in red paint: “8-11, sabotage a world of racists and borders”, a clear reference to the arrival of Northern League leader Matteo Salvini and the people of the League in Bologna[where hundreds of demonstrators clashed with hundreds of police]. The League leader said of the incident on Facebook: “In jail with these criminals.” The story is being dealt with by the prosecutor on duty Rossella Poggioli, in coordination with investigations of the Digos. The fact caused train delays of up to thirty minutes. Investigations are concentrating on an anarchist matrix.. The fire was started in four places on underground cables, at the substation’s Santa Viola.

The location of the sabotage is close to the point where on December 23 there was a similar incident, also against the High Speed train. The matrix on which investigators are focusing regards the anarchist and No TAV area. Compared to a year ago, however, there is a not insignificant difference is: whereas the fire was “signed” with a generic message “No TAV” (and it was difficult to understand whether it had been made on the same day), today sabotage is claimed by the date written on the ground, as if to emphasize the authorship and the recipient of the gesture.

…Near one of the points of fire, a wad of gauze soaked in flammable liquid used to set it ablaze was found. It took nearly eight hours for normal service to be resumed. The trains were diverted on to the traditional line, causing delays and some cancellations. Shortly after 12 pm, the situation returned to normal.
