An open space for discussion, news, and proposals for anti-prison struggle. The framework will not be building a consensus, but sharing perspectives and encouraging diverse initiatives.

This openness is based on certain shared understandings — the assembly will not be used to debate the desirability of putting people into cages and will not be a platform for political parties or candidates.

There are many different projects against prison currently underway in Bloomington – sending reading material to prisoners, opposing jail expansion, supporting anarchist prisoners, demonstrating solidarity with prison rebels organizing in many different states, etc – and these could all benefit from more conversation and knowledge of each other.
