I’m curious why I don’t see more outright solidarity from the self-proclaimed “reds” in the city with local striking workers. I’ve seen them attending every possible kind of demonstration, but never supporting strikes (like some west coast anarchists have done in recent years in the ports), taking actions against scab sites and employers (like some of the union members with some sort of teeth), or reaching out to the frustrated at more reformist rallies (the way the insurrecto-oriented have been doing against prisons and the police, locally). The well-regulated normality of social life within systems of power is not the product of a one-dimensional strategic perception that follows a determined path, but on the contrary it’s the totality of many well-thought and tested logics, tactics and practices. It’s a fact that power would not be what it is today, had it not been in a constant process of self-evolution covering previous deficiencies and weaknesses in the management of social tolerance of its followers. It is not accidental that there have been and continue to appear entire political and philosophical currents that examine the necessity of power structures within human societies. Through the constant appearance of experiments, studies and dissertations, a series of political and scientific think-tanks arm the hand of power with more and more specialized methods that ensure social tolerance. PKK Executive Committee marked the execution of Turkish revolutionaries and called upon everyone that wanted to live freely to unite their forces and expand the struggle for ending AKP fascism during the new period of resistance.
PKK Executive Committee issued a written statement on the martyrdom of Deniz Gezmiş, Hüseyin İnan and Yusuf Aslan. In its statement, the PKK described freedom, equality, justice and moral-political values as the pillars of a society, and said that history has been comprised of the struggle between sovereign and colonial forces attacking these values and social groups and pioneers defending these values. PKK said that its members salute comrades Deniz Gezmiş, Hüseyin İnan and Yusuf Aslan on the 44th anniversary of their execution for their struggle against the Turkish state’s fascist barbarism.
