As of today 10/12/14, anarchist Nikos Romanos is intensifying his struggle by going on a thirst strike as well as insisting on his demands.
“His life is now hanging by a thread” stated the cardiologist, adding that: “His organism is weakened and dehydrated. If this continues, there will be limited functioning of his organs and he is in immediate danger of multi-organ failure”.
The doctors are being pressured to carry out force-feeding but they are resisting and fighting in order to comply with medical ethics. Romanos has won.
It does not matter what will follow, how far he can go, if he will live or die. I do not feel sorry for him, even if he dies I will not feel sorry for him…
I respect him.
If I was in a battle I would like to have him by my side, not my enemy.

On Saturday 29 late afternoon some comrades came out in answer to a call for a demo/gathering in the centre of Brixton, south London, for Nikos Romanos. Two banners, ‘Never again slaves, never again with downcast eyes! Solidarity with anarchist N. Romanos on hunger strike since 10.11.14’ and encircled A; … and ‘Freedom will blossom from the ashes of the prison’ and encircled A, were rigged up at the central junction, highly visible to all the people in the streets at the time, as well as those in passing buses and cars in the busy main road.

Imprisoned anarchist Nikos Romanos has been on hunger strike since Monday November 10 demanding his right to educational day release from prison. From 17th November comrade Giannis Mihailidis has also been on hunger strike in solidarity with his comrade.

They are emptying Domokos prison in order to transform it into a C’type hellhole.- Greece

As of last monday 25/8/14, the security service started to empty Domokos
prison, in order for it to be transformed into a C’type hellhole, 
according to the fascist law 4274/2014. On Monday Tuesday and Wednesday
they transferred about 100 prisoners to other prisons around the
country!

As soon as we got the information that the emptying procedure started in
Domokos we found the decision of the ministry of Justice dated August
1st 2014, which orders the “transformation of Domokos Correctional
Facility from type B to type C prison”.
