Update on the trial of the Velvedo robbery case.
On July 4th continued the terror-court in Koridallos for the robbery in
Velvedo, with the reading out of the indictment documents, a procedure
that began in the previous session. Two sessions came before that, in
which the witnesses that were examined were the cops of the DIAS group and
cops from the cop car that sped to arrest comrades G.Mihailidis, N.Romanos
and A.D.Bourzouko. All these witnesses, in order to cover the torturing
that took place in Veria police station, testified that in order to
immobilize the comrades they clashed with them and in the scuffle the
comrades were injured.

The 29th of November has been set as our court date for the double robbery in Velvedo Kozani. The trial will take place in the female section of Koridallos prisons and not -as it was first announced to us- at the Appellate on Loukareos street. The courtroom, this sacred brothel of justice, was always the space where the ruling class -authority- had to prove its dominance against the “illegals” of this state.

Para el día 29 de noviembre se ha fijado la fecha de nuestro juicio por el doble atraco en Velvedo, Kozani. El juicio tendrá lugar en la sección femenina de las cárceles de Koridallos, no como se nos fue anunciado, en la Corte de Apelaciones en la calle Loukareos. La sala del tribunal, este sagrado burdel de la justicia, siempre fue el espacio donde la clase dominante y la autoridad han demostrado su dominio contra los “ilegales” de este Estado.

Three witnesses were examined today. The manager of Agrotiki bank (now A Pireus bank branch), a dentist who the participants in the double robbery found on the way towards Veria and took him with them and a retired employee of the national electricity company, who was an eye witness to the second robbery in the Velvedo post office.

A chronological presentation of the case

On Friday February 1, 2013, a double robbery took place at the local branch of the Agricultural Bank of Greece and the Hellenic Post office in Velvento, Kozani, Greece. Following a mass police mobilization in the whole area, one person was detained in the surroundings of Ptolemaida, and three more were arrested later on during a police chase operation.
