HASAKAH, Rojava (November 10, 2015) — On the 9th of November, combined forces of the People’s Defense Units (YPG) and the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ) started an clearance operation against a group of terrorist elements preparing for attacks near the village Sabi Zilam on the slopes of Mount Kezwan (Abd al-Aziz). The Defense Units managed to target and successfully destroy a vehicle of terrorists, killing 4 terrorist operatives including 2 senior commanders known as Abu Omar and Abu Yousef.

Il y a encore seulement deux mois, la presse occidentale et les politiciens occidentaux de tous bords ne s’arrêtaient plus de féliciter ces “gentils” kurdes pour leur courage face à l’Etat Islamique et leur bravoure dans ce combat asymétrique. Mais au milieu de l’été, à la fin du mois de juillet, le président-dictateur turc, Recep Erdoğan, soutien officieux de l’Etat Islamique jusqu’alors, a décidé de changer de stratégie face à la montée en puissance du mouvement d’émancipation sociale kurde en menant tout bonnement une guerre au “terrorisme kurde”. Et ce, évidemment, à la plus grande satisfaction de Daesh.
