Una vida quebrada a golpes. Toda muerte sacraliza pero en este caso, al convertir el hecho en suceso, la prensa la ha distorsionado, quedándose con lo monstruoso, lo diferencial, oscureciendo a Agustin Rueda hasta robar su recuerdo a la gente que lo trató. En este tipo de muerte, asesinato, muerto por algo o en nombre de algo es fácil caer en un olvido interesado o devenir héroe, fetiche de pocos. Agustin nunca quiso ser héroe. In several incidents during the last week, defendors of the lignite open cast mine damaged or destroyed material of the occupations. Among others, several climbing ropes were cut, the tires of a car owned by a person living in the occupation were stabbed and a tent in the new inhabitalbe barricade (“the Hedgehog”) was slit. Therefore, security-patrols through the occupied forest were actively convoyed by occupants to make sure they wouldn‘t cause any more damage. In the course of this the atmosphere repeatedly became quite tense and unfortunately some quite ridiculous trials of strength took place. Securities used phrases as “You all don’t have any balls!” and “You are pussies!” (directed to those occupants they interpreted as male). Since the murder of a young neo nazi skinhead in the Stockholm suburb Salem in December 2000, fascists from all over Europe has marched in his memory every year. In 2003 they gathered more than 2000 nazis, the biggest fascist march in Scandinavia since WWII. But they didn’t march without resistance. The antifascist movement tried out a wide range of tactics. In 2011 the nazis marched for the last time. This short documentary tells the story of how the antifascists tried to stop the Salem-march.

In the ongoing reality, the global economic crisis, having eroded the political and economic stability of states, reshapes the political map, where new correletions are created, in an effort to find the policies to address and manage the crisis and to restore stability. In Greece, the change of the political correlations were reflected with the election of SY.RIZ.A. in the government office. This political fluidity and mobility fits into the general European level, where countries most affected by the crisis, such as the European south, are in the process of changing governments. In response to the general frustration of the masses, as they have lost their privileges because of the harsh neo-liberal policies, social-democrats promise to restore these privileges through an interventionist policy in support of the people. This obviously is not possible within the European context, especially when the financial liquidity of the economy of a state depends on funding programs whose terms and conditions are determined by third capitalist institutions. In this case, there are no more than two options: The continuation of the previous policy, with some ostensible relief measures in order for the government to maintain its profile as long as it can or a potential bankruptcy.
