What began as a confrontation between prisoners from different regions of Alabama – namely, B’ham and Montgomery, with B’ham being the largest – escalated into two short riots against the pigs. After the prisoners squashed the beef among themselves without any violence, two pigs ran into C-dorm, which houses 114 prisoners and was informed that there was no problem and everything was under control.

To answer the call for Black December a banner was hung that read “ACAB – All Cops Are Bastards.” Here in the Minneapolis, anger against the police is at a high that has not been seen in a number of years. Rebellion, which the state has tried to suffocate for so long, sprung forth in a volley of rocks and molotov cocktails. This outburst, however brief, carries on in our hearts and our actions. We refuse to let our lives return to normal so easily.

Jeremy still in the SHU, now under investigation
As many of you know, Jeremy was placed in SHU (segregated housing unit) a little over a month ago as a result of a disciplinary infraction. He was told he would be in SHU for approximately 45 days, with his release date being on or around 20 August 2015.
