About two hours ago, comrade Mihalis Nikolopoulos was transferred to the intensive care unit of Evaggelismos hospital as a precautionary measure because of the critical condition of his health. His heart rate by this time islow (up to 33 beats per minute).

Attorno alle 20:00 del 2 aprile, al suo trentunesimo giorno in sciopero della fame, il compagno Mihalis Nikolopoulos è stato trasferito nel reparto di terapia intensiva dell’ospedale di Evaggelismos, come misura precauzionale a causa delle condizioni critiche della sua salute. Nei giorni scorsi, ha avuto tre attacchi cardiaci, le sue condizioni ,dopo l’intervento dei medici che gli hanno somministrato atropina sono stazionarie anche se permane il rischio di arresto cardiaco. Gli altri compagni della CCf rimangono in ospedale in condizioni critiche.
La sua frequenza cardiaca in questo momento è bassa (fino a 33 battiti al minuto).

Comrade Mihalis Nikolopoulos almost suffered a heart attack today in the morning for the third consecutive day. Around 3:00, his heart rate was 27 beats per minute and his blood pressure 7, so injectable atropine was administered to him. The comrade’s condition is very critical. Today in the morning around 6 a.m., the hunger striker Mihalis Nikolopoulos almost suffered a heart attack as his heart rate was 25 beats per minute and his blood pressure 8/2,5. One and a half dose of injectable atropine was administered to him as a single dose wasn’t enough. His state of health is currently somewhat more stable (40beats per minute) but the risk of a cardiac arrest is imminent and can happen anytime.

Comrade Mihalis Nikolopoulos from weighing 78.5 kg, has now reached 66.5, while showing significant bradycardia with pulses of the range of 40-44 per minute and low pressure (8/6 small).
