On September 24th 2015, Giorgos Petrakakos – wanted for bank robberies – was arrested in the city of Volos together with his life companion Maria Theofilou (who is also the sister of imprisoned anarchist Tasos Theofilou). Both are currently held in Koridallos prisons, Athens.

A scuola mi hanno insegnato in due paragrafi l’irresitibile ascesa dei bolscevichi fra febbraio e ottobre e, in lunghe e noiose pagine, la progressiva realizzazione del loro regime totalitario. La morale era chiara: la rivoluzione non può portare che al dispotismo della peggiore specie. Poi c’è stata la lettura di Volin che ha frantumato definitivamente la bambolina più grande della matrioska. 1917 non era più la storia di un semplice colpo di Stato, ma ridiventava un processo rivoluzionario ricco e  rigoglioso, con molteplici forze in campo. Turkish forces massacre 2 kids in Cizre

ŞIRNAK (DİHA) – Onslaught by state forces has claimed two more civilian lives in Cizre district of Şırnak where a state of siege continues for 33 days.

During yesterday’s artillery strikes on Cudi neighborhood, cannon shells fired by Turkish forces hit a civilian house, leaving three kids inside heavily wounded.

Among these, 12-year-old Yusuf Akalın died last night, while others remained under treatment at hospital.

Yusuf’s cousin 10-year-old Büşra Akalın has also died while receiving treatment at Mardin State Hospital today.

The other kid, Dilan Akalın, remains in critical condition

SİİRT (DİHA) – Police forces conducted house raids in Şeyh Mahmut Square in Siirt centre along the day. Five people were executed by police.

While many neighborhoods in the city have been encircled by police forces since last night, the city is witnessing an activity of Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles since early this morning. Sporadic gunshots are being heard from the neighborhoods where clashes are reported to be taking place. At least one police has reportedly been killed.

In the meantime, photos have been circulated on social media purportedly of the two people being dragged on the street after their execution in last night’s raid.

Mentre a Roma, Milano, Trieste, Livorno, Sassari e Cagliari ieri si manifestava contro la guerra, l’imperialismo, la militarizzazione e le spese militari, a Modena le forze antifasciste hanno contestato in maniera determinata la provocazione di Forza Nuova, calata in città per strumentalizzare un episodio di cronaca – l’intimidazione da parte di alcuni cittadini maghrebini nei confronti di un gruppo di giovani locali a Vignola– e denunciare la presunta trasformazione del capoluogo “in una colonia” (dell’Islam e degli stranieri, evidentemente).

Calais: ‘container camp’ construction machinery torched

Two vehicles used to carry out evictions and construct the new ‘container camp’ – an authorised concentration camp mostly for families within a much larger, semi-autonomous ‘jungle’ – were set fire to on Friday night in Calais near the new camp. There have been no declarations of responsibility, but according to the local press, graffiti with the words “no border” and “this is a prison” was also left on some of the shipping containers used to hold people on the new site.

Juankar Santana Martín, preso en la misma cárcel de Dueñas y en solidaridad con su compañero, ha comunicado su intención de ponerse también en huelga de hambre este domingo, 17 de enero, si no se resuelve antes la situación.
