Abbiamo intervistato il gruppo francese Pantheres Enragees che ci dà spunti di riflessione su cosa si sta agitando oltralpe. Lo diciamo sempre e riconosciamo l’importanza di ripeterlo: l’interconnessione delle lotte è una rotta fondamentale per attaccare questo sistema di dominio nei suoi diversi piani. Evitare di collegare le diverse forme di autoritarismo e antropocentrismo, oltre che fare da effetto placebo per un vero cambiamento verso una liberazione totale, lascia gioco facile a tutti quei gruppi che appropriandosi di lotte altrui e mascherando i loro reali pensieri razzisti e gerarchici, riescono nel loro intento di fare proselitismo e aggregazione. Dalle 7 di questa mattina sono iniziate le operazioni di sgombero degli stabili occupati a scopo abitativo nel centro storico di Modena e dello Sportello La Rage- spazio Guernica. Gli stabili occupati da circa 60 persone tra donne, uomini e bambini, sono l’ex-caserma di via S. Eufemia e lo stabile di via Bonacorsa. On Monday 25th of April, the prison guards of all prisons in the French speaking parts of Belgium went on strike, in total 21 prisons. The prisoners are confined in their cells. All activities, like the walk, shower, visit, legal counsel, are canceled. The police took over the control of the prisons to assure security.
After one week of guards on strike, and with conditions rapidly deteriorating inside, incidents start to spread in many prisons. In some prisons, the situation could be called catastrophic. Prisoners only receive food once a day, didn’t go out of their cells in more than ten days, hygienic conditions are terrible with infections and diseases spreading.
Yesterday (Saturday 7 May), solidarity demos took place at most UK detention centres, at other migration prisons across Europe and also in the US, and at the Brenner pass where the Austrian state plans to build a new border fence sealing off the route north from Italy.
At Harmondsworth detention centre near Heathrow Airport, 190 people announced a hunger strike, and 50 people occupied the yard. We are also hearing reports that one man, who had already been on hunger strike alone for 4 days, attempted suicide yesterday afternoon, cutting his wrists in the yard of the prison yesterday afternoon and falling unconscious. He was taken away by medical staff and prisoners do not know what his condition is now or where he is being held.
Mentre si attende l’esito delle udienze di convalida e del processo per gli arresti effettuati durante la giornata di lotta contro la frontiera del Brennero, rilanciamo una diretta effettuata questa mattina su Radio Blackout. Compagni presenti alle udienze ci informano che le richieste del pm sono di 2 anni e 10 mesi per Sabrina, 2 anni e 6 mesi per altri; per tutti la misura cautelare del divieto di dimora nella provincia di Bolzano. La sentenza è prevista per le 17. Seguiranno aggiornamenti.
Today, the pathetic far-right fantasists of the Pie and Mash Squad (or “South Coast Resistance” as they’d rather be known these days) held their inaugural demo of the year in Portsmouth. Given that it’s their home turf (most of them live in or around Pompey), they were probably expecting quite a large turnout. That’s not exactly what happened…
The day started early when local antifascists got word that the fascists had been locked out of their meet-up pub (The ‘spoons on the corner of Guildhall) and had taken their rally point early with some tinnys instead. Around 20 nationalists had set up camp at the top of Guildhall steps and hung a banner and two flags, one saying “Leicester casuals”.
