On the night of December 1st, 2014, we broke the windows of a road roller and cut its cables in the Kocasinan district of Istanbul, with the intention of showing our solidarity to anarchist prisoner Nikos Romanos, who is on hunger strike for 26 days, and then to Yannis Michailidis, Andreas-Dimitris Bourzoukos and Dimitris Politis, who have started a hunger strike in support to Nikos Romanos in Greek prisons. Then we spray-painted some slogans on a wall close to the target: “Nikos Romanos” and “Fire to the prison cells”.

A eso de las 18:00 horas del 3 del diciembre se llevó a cabo el segundo mitin solidario con Yannis Michailidis, en huelga de hambre desde el 17/11, como forma de apoyo a la lucha de Nikos Romanos. Cerca de 250 solidarixs respondieron a la convocatoria, reuniéndose fuera del hospital Tzaneio, en el Pireo, donde se encuentra internado Yannis Michailidis. El lugar estaba lleno de maderos y secretas, las calles alrededor del hospital habían sido cortadas por la policía, dificultando el acceso de la gente al mitin, además de que la parte trasera del hospital desde donde se puede tener contacto visual con la habitación-celda donde está Yannis estaba bloqueada por un autobús de los antimotines.

On the night of December 2nd, 2014, it was confirmed that the request of anarchist prisoner Nikos Romanos – who has now entered the 24th day of hunger strike – was denied a second time. In particular, he had filed an appeal against the denial of special judge Eftichis Nikopoulos to grant him educational furloughs, whose decision was eagerly approved by the Koridallos prison board. The comrade’s appeal was dismissed in Piraeus courts by the competent judicial council.

On the 2nd of December 2014, a demonstration took place in solidarity with anarchist comrade Nikos Romanos, prisoner on hunger strike since the 10th of November, demanding the granting of educational furloughs. Today’s march saw participation of thousands of people, some of whom later headed for the occupied Polytechnic School.
