The Greenhouse infoshop in The Philippines needs financial support!

Dear Friends,
After almost 8 years of doing food not bombs (mobile soup kitchen), films screenings, free workshops and community grassroots organizing, the Greenhouse Infoshop Project is under threat of eviction due to financial crisis for the past months. Greenhouse Infoshop Project is renting a space for 2,000 pesos monthly due to our small income generated, we are in trouble paying the rental of the space this past month. But we cannot afford to stop what we have started.

Manila (Philippines): Feral Crust Autonomous Space

HOW WE STARTED

Friend and anarchist community organizer who runs Balay Tuklasan Likhaan Infoshop generously offered his other space (previously vacant and unused) to establish a community-based autonomous center called Feral Crust. The Feral Crust space is located in Mabato Road Brgy. Ibayo, Tipas Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines in a squatted public road near industrial factories (cement, steel, livestock etc.). About 33 families squat Mabato Road to become a residential area since 1989. Feral Crust came to Mabato road last March 2014.

NPA Rebels Raid Mining Firm, Torch Trucks and Heavy Equipment

New People’s Army rebels on Saturday raided a mining firm in the southern Philippine province of Agusan del Norte, reports said.

Reports said the rebels swooped down on Philippine Alstron Mining Company on the village of Tamamarkay in Tubay town and overpowered the security guards without firing a single shot before they torched several trucks and other heavy equipment.
