On Research Methodology
Life is a non-factual continuum for the understanding of which, the use of quantization techniques – endearing especially in the modern technocratic “society” – fails both in terms of structure and intention.

Introducing Dialogues Journal
Call for Submissions for Issue 1
The realm of the journal is a realm that often calls forward a distinct sense of futility, at least in its usual manifestation as a sort of academic commodity, consumed by others within the circles around the journal, and constructed as a career building mechanism. In this form the concept of the journal is meaningless. There have been a myriad of responses to this form, and a rising chorus of rigorous journals that are attempting to resist this tendency. Dialogues aims to be a part of this trajectory, to build a project that is simultaneously rigorous and resistant to the meaninglessness of internalized academic discourse. But, in doing so we intend to engage in this sort of project in a way that is divergent from other projects that exist within this vein, and in doing so, fill a gap that we perceive as currently existing.

Political prisoners have currently launched a hunger strike in Greek prisons beginning from March 2nd 2015. Some of them, like me, have a common context of demands regarding: the abolition of the ‘antiterrorism’ legislations, the abolition of the hoodie law and the type C prisons, and the release of the convicted 17N member Savvas Xiros on health grounds.
At the same time, the political prisoners of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire have also begun a hunger strike, demanding the release of their family members who were recently arrested and placed under preventive detention, after it was disclosed that CCF members organised a plan to escape Koridallos prisons.

Today, March 5th 2015, Angeliki Spyropoulou was sent to pretrial detention in Koridallos prison, accused of involvement in the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire escape plan. The comrade has been on hunger strike since the day of her arrest (2/3) for the immediate release of the mother and the wife (both remanded since 3/3) of Gerasimos Tsakalos.
Today, 39-year-old Christos Rodopoulos – accused in the same case – also appeared before the special appellate judge and was sent to pretrial detention in Domokos prison.
Este pensamiento es que estoy aquí sentado en esta tumba de acero y concreto, escribiendo estas palabras para ti, porque alguna vez, en el futuro, podrías estar tú detrás de los muros de la cárcel, escribiendo líneas similares.

A couple years ago, I asked people to pause before branding as a cooperator a person who gave pre-scripted testimony to a grand jury after a exhausting her legal options. (http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2012/11/09/18725393.php) Although some people construed my piece as advocating “partial cooperation,” I have never uttered those words except to disclaim them. Instead, I’ve spent hundreds of unpaid hours representing grand jury resisters or pairing them with other lawyers, coordinating joint defenses, advising colleagues how to give legal expression to their clients’ principled resistance, drafting and sharing motions, assisting with appeals, petitioning to open proceedings and unseal records, developing printed materials, and inveighing against the malignant grand jury system.
