Once upon a time, the captain and the mates of a ship grew so vain of their seamanship, so full of hubris and so impressed with themselves, that they went mad. They turned the ship north and sailed until they met with icebergs and dangerous floes, and they kept sailing north into more and more perilous waters, solely in order to give themselves opportunities to perform ever-more-brilliant feats of seamanship.

Il contradditorio che il professore Teofilo Petriella, ha avuto la somma sventura di incontrare a Barre sui primi di novembre scorso qualche compagno di fede che conciò per le feste il suo radicalismo odagroso, con qualche anarchico che mandò dinoccolato e smidollato all’ambulanza il suo rivoluzionarismo elettorale ed accattone, ha cacciato in corpo il povero professore – (che pur si sente e si dice, modestamente, da sé, uno dei migliori socialisti degli Statu Uniti – ) la terzana di tutte le fobie più morbose.

[Cet article, publié en anglais dans le journal anarchiste insurrectionnaliste américain Wilful Disobedience au début des années 2000, a été écrit par son principal auteur Wolfi Landstreicher. Si son propos peut paraitre court, voir synthétique, il pose la question de l’opposition traditionnelle entre individu et communauté d’une manière assez inédite, à la manière d’un Malatesta (même si ce dernier se définissait plus ouvertement anarchiste-communiste) et romps avec les clivages traditionnels encore prégnants qui traversent les mouvements anarchistes et anti-autoritaires.]
