RESISTANCE ECOLOGY CONFERENCE 2014
You are invited to the 2nd Annual Resistance Ecology Conference in Portland, Oregon! The conference is booked at Portland State University for the weekend of June 27-29, 2014. We are now well into planning the weekend in collaboration with Student Animal Liberation Coalition. The second conference will be focused on pragmatic skills and ideas for animal activists looking to get involved in an intersectional movement. We are accepting workshop proposals on a wide range of topics and skill-sets.

Today residents of the town of San Bartolo Ameyalco, Mexico resisted the diversion of their natural spring well. Around 100 to 120 people were injured in what has been over a year long struggle to keep the towns spring from being diverted and overused.

On Wednesday the 28th of May we organize the first Anarchist Black Cross evening at the Klinker. The first you say? Yes, because from now on the ABC evening will not only be about writing prisoners but we want to make it more alive. So every 4th Wednesday of the month will have a kind of a theme and loads of info, documentaries, food, music, cards and as usual cool people from ABC Nijmegen will be at the bar to answer your questions and get you drinks. Soup will start at 18.30, the ABC evening at 19.30 and we will be open till at least 23.00.

North Avon magistrates court was closed yesterday after a fire that has now been described as an arson.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service were called at 3.28am Yesterday and found the porch and canopy area of the entrance ablaze.
