Questo è un periodo storico in cui si stanno verificando enormi migrazioni di individui, centinaia di migliaia di persone, da un continente all’altro, da uno stato all’altro. Chi è in fuga dalle devastazioni provocate da una guerra, chi dalla miseria e dalla fame, chi alla ricerca di “una vita migliore”, chi perché semplicemente sente il bisogno di spostarsi. Quasi sempre, l’obiettivo di questi viaggi è la ricca Europa. Dopo settimane, mesi, anni di viaggi, quello che invece viene offerto ai migranti sono campi profughi, respingimenti, internamenti in lager, fili spinati, manganelli e gas urticanti, se non si muore durante la traversata.

The Black and Pink Newspaper has been distributed free of charge to a rapidly growing list of LGBTQ prisoners around the country since 2010! In October 2015, it was sent to over 8,200 prisoners. Each issue is full of submissions from our incarcerated members, along with relevant news, history, and opinions from the free world and a letter from Rev. Jason Lydon. We recently included a calendar so that prisoners in solitary confinement can keep track of which day it is. Periodically, the newspaper includes a form for prisoners to update their PenPal listing. Each month, we ask prisoners to reply to a feedback question via mail to inform our organizing efforts.

Negli stessi giorni in cui a seguito di una rivolta al Brennero contro il ripristino della frontiera tra Italia e Austria vengono fermati e imprigionati sei rivoltosi, viene resa pubblica una relazione annuale sull’export italiano 2015. I dati contenuti sono significativi: aumentate del 200% le autorizzazioni all’esportazione di armamenti il cui boom si registra verso i paesi in guerra.
I settori più rappresentativi dell’attività di esportazione sono aeronautica, elettronica per la difesa, armi leggere e munizioni, cantieristica navale e sistemi d’arma. Tra le industrie coinvolte compaiono Alenia Aermacchi, GE AVIO, Beretta, Piaggio Aero Industries, MBDA Italia e industrie Bitossi, quasi tutte di proprietà o partecipate dal gruppo Finmeccanica.
