Guerrero, militante anarquista, miembro de la Junta Organizadora del Partido Liberal Mexicano. Incansable luchador social y revolucionario, que tomó las ideas anarquistas como guía de su andar.

El siguiente texto, disponible por primera vez en internet, corresponde al capítulo titulado Libertad e igualdad del libro Escritos de Filosofía Política II, Mijaíl Bakunin. (Es el primer fragmento del tomo II, y corresponde a la parte III del total del compilado. Las Partes I y II, incluidas en el Tomo I, se pueden consultar haciendo clic aquí) Se han omitido las fuentes bibliográficas incluidas en el formato papel. Las negritas tipo subtítulo corresponden al compilador,Gregori Maximoff, y el desarrollo a Mijaíl Bakunin. Con este texto iniciamos la transcripción del Tomo II, obra imprescindible para comprender el pensamiento y práctica política en Mijaíl Bakunin. Nota explicativa incluida en la edición papel, Altaya 1995: “Maximoff preparó el texto original de este volumen en ruso, y extrajo principalmente los textos seleccionados de la primera edición rusa de las obras escogidas de Bakunin, de la que aparecieron cinco volúmenes entre 1919 y 1922; pero también recurrió a la edición alemana (1921-1924), y a unos pocos panfletos y revistas.” (N&A)

One day it suits them for the workers to keep quiet and think only of voting them into parliament and local councils and they preach against violence, against the insurrectionist illusion in favour of slow, gradual, safe, evolution, for the legal conquest of public authorities.
Then come the beatings, the arsons, the fascist murders to show even the blind that you get nowhere with legality, because even if it has been beneficial to the oppressed in some cases, the oppressors have no qualms about violating it and substituting it with the most atrocious violence. But our good socialists are rushing to prevent workers from responding to provocation, extolling ” heroic patience.”

The newspapers have announced the news of the signing of a treaty between the Papacy and the Soviets. However distressing this might be, it didn’t surprise me too much. I knew that the Church was making great efforts to penetrate Russia and that since the fall of czarism it considered the country as a vast prey it must grab…
So this is what revolutions are good for! In Russia, like in Germany and as in the past in France, they are always used by the church, thanks to its unlimited powers of adaptation and penetration.
