Le note che seguono nascono da un’esigenza: quella di riflettere assieme sulla situazione attuale al fine di trovare il filo di una prospettiva possibile. Esse sono il frutto di diverse discussioni in cui si sono mescolati il bilancio critico di esperienze passate, l’insoddisfazione per le iniziative di lotta in corso e la speranza per le potenzialità esistenti. Non sono la linea di un gruppo in competizione con altri, né sottendono la pretesa e l’illusione di riempire i vuoti — di vita e di passioni progettuali — con l’accordo più o meno formale su alcune tesi. Se conterranno critiche spiacevoli non è per il gusto fine a se stesso di muoverle, bensì perché credo sia urgente dirsi anche le cose spiacevoli. Come tutte le parole di questo mondo, esse avranno un’eco solo in chi avverte un’esigenza simile. Insomma, una piccola base di discussione per capire cosa si può fare, e con chi.

L’ennesima strage si è compiuta nel Mediterraneo, l’ultima di una lunghissima serie che da anni insanguina i mari che circondano l’Italia. Ancora una volta si sono levate alte le voci di pietà di tutta la società civile; ancora una volta si sono alzati cori di sdegno da parte delle varie forze politiche, ancora una volta giornali e tv si sono scagliati ferocemente contro il racket che organizza i cosiddetti “viaggi della speranza” e contro gli scafisti senza scrupoli.

Leaping to the Heart of the Opportunity
The notes that follow spring from a need: that of reflecting together on the current situation with the aim of finding the thread of a possible perspective. They are the fruit of various discussions in which the critical balance of past experience, the dissatisfaction with endeavors of struggle now going on and hope for existing potentialities blended together. They are not the line of one group in competition with another. Nor do they have any pretense or illusion of filling the voids — of life and projectual passion — with any more or less formal agreement on a few theses. If they contain unpleasant critiques, it is not for the sake of advancing them as an end in itself, but rather because I believe that it is still necessary to say unpleasant things. Like all the words in this world, they will only find an echo in those who feel a similar need. In short, a small basis for discussion in order to reach an understanding of what we can do, and with whom.

L’essentialisme et le problème des politiques d’identité – Lawrence Jarach
Le problème n’est pas pour nous de reconnaître l’existence de catégories sociologiques plus ou moins distinctes, ni même d’en faire le point de départ d’une lutte, bien que nous soyons perplexes à ce sujet. Le problème est bien d’en faire le point d’arrivée, là où selon nous la perspective devrait être l’annihilation de ces catégories séparatistes et rôles sociaux.

Mort au module FIES
Notre cher compagnon Francisco Ortiz Jimenez (Paco) est mort samedi dernier 19 juillet dans le module FIES de la prison de Badajoz. Il a cherché la liberté par le suicide en ingurgitant une dose mortelle de pilules, une manière très dure pour échapper définitivement à la réalité de la prison et de l’isolement, qu’il ne supportait plus.

Certainement, nous subissons des formes de contrôle et de répression
qui produisent beaucoup de peurs. Mais nous ne pouvons et ne
devons pas laisser ces peurs nous paralyser. Parce que c’est précisément ce à quoi vise le système qui nous exploite et nous opprime.
