‘Militant Forces Against HLS, Blackmail 3 & The SHAC Model’ (Dark Matter Publications)

UPDATED PDF: MFAH, Blackmail 3 & The SHAC Model

Animal liberationist zine about the fight against Huntingdon Life Sciences.

I claim this opportunity to dedicate this zine to Darko Matthers. A friend &
comrade I spent many hours with discussing anarchism, nihilism, and what he coined ‘civil anarchism’. The section on the MFAH [Militant Forces Against Huntingdon] is dedicated to him, for his contribution in publishing insurrectionist zines such as “August 2011 Revolt”, as well as his strong conviction in critical analysis.

Some Notes on Insurrectionary Anarchism

by sasha k.

From the text:

Insurrectionary anarchism is not an ideological solution to all social problems, a commodity on the capitalist market of ideologies and opinions, but an on-going praxis aimed at putting an end to the domination of the state and the continuance of capitalism, which requires analysis and discussion to advance. We don’t look to some ideal society or offer an image of utopia for public consumption.

The Squatters’ Movement in Europe: Commons and Autonomy as Alternatives to Capitalism

squatters-movement

The Squatters’ Movement in Europe is the first definitive guide to squatting as an alternative to capitalism. It offers a unique insider’s view on the movement – its ideals, actions and ways of life. At a time of growing crisis in Europe with high unemployment, dwindling social housing and declining living standards, squatting has become an increasingly popular option.

The book is written by an activist-scholar collective, whose members have direct experience of squatting: many are still squatters today. There are contributions from the Netherlands, Spain, the USA, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.

In an age of austerity and precarity this book shows what has been achieved by this resilient social movement, which holds lessons for policy-makers, activists and academics alike.
