So. There’s an anti-nuclear protest site at the west coast of Finland. And it’s holding an action week between 22th of April – 1st of May, 2016, while celebrating its first anniversary of existence. What’s all this about? To put it all in a simple nutshell:

Fennovoima is a Finnish nuclear power company established in 2007 by a consortium of Finnish power and industrial companies thinking it’s a mighty good idea to put up a nuke plant at Pyhäjoki, a small municipality at the west coast of Finland – by any means necessary. Fennovoima’s project nearly faced its much wished-for doom when German energy giant E.ON, the main investor of the project at that time, decided nuclear power is bad business and withdrew its money in 2012.

[Statements from Refugees] Spread the Words neues Heft / new booklet (28.01.16)

coveren-1

Militant Forces Against HLS (MFAH), Blackmail 3 & The SHAC Model – November 2014 re-release

mfahPDF: MFAH, Blackmail 3 & The SHAC Model

November 2014 re-release of original zine with Dark Matter Publications initially hosted by 325 in June 2014: An animal liberationist zine about the fight against Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS).

For the first time these 24 communiques from 2009-2012 of MFAH direct action in Western Europe have been compiled for your reading pleasure, alongside articles on the Blackmail 3 case, as well as a critical analysis of the SHAC Model. The inspiration for producing this zine proceeded the imprisonment of Debbie Vincent. The section on the MFAH is dedicated to Darko Mathers.

Re-release contains updated prisoner address for Debbie Vincent and details removed about Walter Bond’s pro-life stance in 2011, after his political u-turn in 2013, which unfortunately we were unaware of. Our apologies to Walter Bond for our lack of research and solidarity on the subject.

“Johann Most” by Emma Goldman

johann-most-cover

Johann Most is one of the more misunderstood figures in U.S. anarchist history. His reputation is shaped by a legacy of vilification in the mainstream press, with the foreign-born Most being the target of relentless attacks by the newspapers of his day. In Most, the forces of capitalism and order found the stereotype of the wild-eyed anarchist bent on destruction.

1929-1936, Australia: Lock Out The Landlords!

eviction crowd

(Woolloomooloo anti eviction rally, Sydney early 1930s)

The economic depression of the 1930s saw thousands of Australians thrown out of their homes and into the streets. These actions however did not go unopposed. Across Australia pickets, occupations and protests were organised to disrupt and prevent evictions and auctions. Where these failed some took matters into their own hands wrecking the properties of landlords and real estate agents in revenge. This pamphlet, originally written in 1998 and updated ten years later, chronicles just some of the many struggles that took place. It includes a chronology of actions as well as photos and quotes from those involved providing an insight into the events of the time. It can be downloaded here.
